The first in the "Prime Pop" series is Blur and Gorillaz frontman and songwriter Damon Albarn. Since the early 90's Albarn has ridden high atop the pop charts with music that is both contemporary and forward-thinking at the same time. Rarely overindulging himself, Albarn has adapted through many changes musically, the results of which are almost always pop perfection.

I have liked Blur since before they became popular after the release of their Parklife album which most people think was their first. Back in the day there was a big band battle between Blur and Oasis and most people chose one or the other but I chose both. Both bands have different styles and I think Blur made some good music.

If you've still got some albums from Britpop bands sitting around, give them a new lease of life with cassette to CD conversion. They will sound better, store for longer and will provide you with a great backup should anything happen to your cassettes.
