International Hockey Tips
by
George Sandler
Hockey has a huge amount of affection from all over the world including the United States and Europe, but it has been designed and is based in Canada. Because the dates of the playoffs for the Stanley Cup, and the fact that it coincides with the preliminary rounds of the Stanley Cup, the Americans are less enthusiastic about the World Championships men's international hockey, like their European counterparts. For countries with a large number of NHL players, rounding the top players of this sport is difficult because many of them play for the trophy for the Stanley Cup.

Sardar Singh to Lead the Indian Hockey Team
by
Sneha T
Ever since the 2012 London Olympics, Sardar Singh has taken the Hockey league by a storm. In spite of India's banal performance at the Summer Olympic games in field hockey, Singh was thoroughly appreciated for his role, in whatever the Indian hockey team managed to put up that can be claimed as a positive point. According to Moritz Fuerste, the German Captain and the London Olympic team, the team had amped up their game since the last time and the driving force behind such an imp-roved stance is definitely Singh's leadership qualities.

Women's Hockey - Do You Need Special Equipment to Play Women's Hockey?
by
Davey Brown
As more and more girls are learning how to play hockey and are getting involved in hockey leagues many manufacturers are starting to make hockey equipment specifically for women. This is not just a testament as to how popular women's hockey is getting, but important since many female players have had to use men's hockey equipment. Designed for men, most hockey equipment did not fit women properly and more importantly did not offer the proper protection needed.

Girls Hockey - Body Checking Battle
by
Kim McCullough
The issue of body-checking in girls hockey always sparks a heated debate. Those who support putting full checking back in the women's game believe that this will teach girls to play with their heads up and prevent a lot of the serious injuries that are happening out on the ice from both accidental and intentional contact. But would adding body checking back into female hockey make it safer for players or would it do more harm than good?
