by
John Ifejika
With the pricing for basic necessities like gas and food on the rise, it is no surprise that people are more conscious of how they spend their money. As a result, the average person is even more hesitant with regard to housing and the plausibility of making a purchase that requires such a sizable investment. Staying abreast of mortgage news is one way to gain confidence regarding these financial decisions.

The Dish: Whoa Canada!
by
Christopher Harris
The U.S. men's hockey team was a disaster waiting to happen. Most of them got stuck in a blizzard before the Games started. Several of them were over age 60. And they had the combined mental toughness and discipline of former FEMA Director Michael "Brownie" Brown. That they went 1-4-1 in Turin is no surprise. Keith Tkachuk embarrassed himself throughout the tournament with worse hands than Daniel Day Lewis in My Left Foot, and Mike Modano humiliated himself complaining about his hotel arrangements afterward. They were supposed to suck, and they did.

Affordable Education Abroad
by
Chimere Ukoha Iroha
Nigeria is a country with about one hundred and forty million inhabitants: a fast growing country with a near-vibrant economy. The Country over the years has been bedeviled by corruption. The social fabric has been in deplorable condition, leading to unfanciful placements in the world index standards.

America We Love You, But - A Canadian View
by
Jerry Diakiw
We share the same continent, the same gene pool of Native North Americans, English French and Spanish original colonists and wave upon wave of immigrants. We have the same values of, democracy, a free market and the rule of law, a shared economy yet we are like two brothers sharing the same bedroom and people saying "how can two brothers from the same parents, raised together, be so different?"

Canadian Hockey - Not Doing So Well in the Olympics
by
Christine M. Breen
Team Canada has not always had the easiest time of it in the Olympic games. You'd think a country rabidly devoted to ice hockey would skate through the Olympic games to a gold medal, but as their past has shown the Canadian hockey team doesn't always fare as expected.
