Batman Arkham Asylum was a massive game for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. The game took the concept of traditional Batman games and turned them all on their heads, creating a much darker game that fitted in more with the newer image Batman had been given by films such as Batman Begins.

Rocksteady Studios, a video game developer, has finally created Batman: Arkham City. It has been two years in the making, but this long-awaited sequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum has finally arrived. Since this is an open world/action game, its actual playing area is larger than its predecessor. Enhancements have also been made improving the graphics, sound and playability of the game. Batman will also benefit with enhanced weaponry for melee combat, which he is going to need, fighting the likes of the Penguin, Two Face, Mr. Freeze and the list goes on...

Perhaps the single most interesting (that's a great "interesting" for those keeping count) casting call for Nolan's last foray into Gotham was the call to include Inception alum, Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Look, we all know JGL, a moniker I will continue to use throughout the remainder of this post because (frankly) his name is too damn long and hyphenated to type more than once...where was I? Oh yeah, we all know JGL is a great actor and one we don't mind at all seeing in the "Batverse", because anything he brings to the table, no matter the role, will be a major plus. I'm going to spend a little time breaking down the basics about Nolan's habits and why this casting decision isn't what he or the studio would like us to think it is.
