Was The 'Rainbow' Division Tarnished By Its Battlefield Behavior In World War I?
by
David Homsher
It is a known fact that the U. S. 42nd ("Rainbow") Division took fewer German prisoners than did any other AEF division during World War I. The "Rainbow" established somewhat of a reputation for battlefield savagery, particularly at Croix Rouge Farm in the Marne salient of 1918, and during the Champagne-Marne Defensive of 15 July 1918.

World War 3 - Nostradamus Prediction - When Shall it Be?
by
Vijay Kumar Jain
World War 3 shall result owing to breaking down of the basic fabric of the society. WorldWar three is not a making of a day; week or years... it has been in reckoning since long. It shall be the last folly of mankind... the last war of this era. It shall be the end of science as we know it today.

Quick History of World War Two - European Theater
by
Alastair Harris
The War's beginning? Some would say that World War Two began with Germany's Invasion of Poland on the 1st of September 1939 and the ultimatum of Britain that without a German withdrawal a State of War would exist. Needless to say there was no German withdrawal and WWII began, Britain, France, Australia and New Zealand declaring war on the 3rd of September 1939.

There are many theories about what started World War II. The most popular belief is that Hitler wanted more land to expand Germany. Looking for a reason to start a war and invade Poland, but not wanting it to appear that he instigated it, Hitler staged a polish attack on Germany.

Incredible Digital Book About Six Brother Soldiers Makes World War II Come Alive!
by
Tyler Tichelaar
Dan Oja presents the story of the six Koski brothers of Ishpeming, Michigan, who all fought in World War II. The subtitle of Ordinary Heroes is Six Stars in the Window, reflecting the six stars, one for each brother, sewn on a flag in the window of the family home. By the end of the war, one brother would not return. This moving tale of family and war is captured in digital book format, complete with family interviews, actual letters from the soldiers, and incredible video footage from the war. Truly an interactive reading experience, Ordinary Heroes: Six Stars in the Window is hands down one of the best books ever written about World War II.

World War 2
by
Richard McMunn
November 11th 1918 a famous day in history, the end of World War one. World War one the war to end all wars, a famous quote by then US President Woodrow Wilson, so right he should have been after the suffering and heartache endured by all nations involved, the awful conditions in the trenches and the horrific loss of life on all sides. An estimated total of over 65 million troops were deployed by all nations culminating in over 8 million confirmed killed, 21 million wounded and nearly 8 million missing or prisoners of war.

The Great War - World War I
by
Shawna S. Ruppert
Up until the point of World War I, the world had never seen a conflict on the scale at which that war would be fought. It was known by many other names as well, although World War I trivia will show that it was most commonly known as the Great War. The name of World War I (commonly abbreviated as WW I) would not become used commonly until the outbreak of the second world war.

Thomas Edward Lawrence or 'Lawrence of Arabia', known professionally as T.E. Lawrence was one of the most iconic figures of the First World War. To this day, Lawrence has become a household name conjuring images of adventure, sweeping deserts and the image of a mysterious figure that has never been fully understood. Having battled to give the Arab tribes a goal, Lawrence led the Arab army to unimaginable success between 1916-1918.

France During World War 2 and What Americans May Not Know
by
Francine Fuqua
France during World War 2 and what Americans May Not Know. Many Americans are unaware of France's circumstances as it entered the Second World War. I hope this article will make the reader look at France in a difference light and with more compassion. Many Americans are unaware of the vast difference in France at the start of World War 2 and France in World War I. In fact, I was surprised to realize that many Americans believe the Second World War began in 1942 and ended on Omaha Beach in 1944.
