by
Joel Girling
It was a year that saw pop music decline, music sites prosper and a Sheffield act take complete domination, 2006 was a productive year for everyone involved in British music. Bands were reforming
reintroducing themselves, and whilst most collected music awards few gained entrance to the annual Hall Of Fame event at Earls Court. Whether it was on television, on the internet or at festivals all year round bands were propelling themselves towards stardom.

Radio Industry In the Age of Hyper-Niche Music
by
Lance Winslow
The radio business is more competitive than ever and the audience is more diverse than ever. Why has this happened? Well, I guess we can blame it on the Internet and YouTube which allows small niche artists to get a following, then there are the copycats, and sub-niches, and then sub-niches of the sub-niche. Folks can download the music they want, anytime they want, so why would they bother listening to the radio - well, that's just it, most of the new generation doesn't listen to radio much anymore.

Music: Powerful, Universal, Timeless Energy With Influence To Change The World
by
Chris R Harden
The power music holds over its listeners can be incredible how simple sound vibrations moving through air, have the influence to move something as discrete as a tapping foot, or rhythmically move a massive crowd with ease. When one first becomes a fan of the art, then transitions into becoming one of its creators, certain perspective may be introduced as quickly as a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - Carson St. - car cruise with college friends after recording your first no budget, all heart YouTube cover track.
