What is ILO?

ILO is any acronym for "International Labor Organization", a specialized agency of the United Nations. ILO was established in 1919 (the end of World War I) by the Treaty of Versailles, which brought the League of Nations into being. The need for such an organization had been advocated in the nineteenth century by two industrialists: Robert Owen (1771-1853) of Wales and Daniel Legrand (1783-1859) of France.

With the Eurozone struggling to sort out a massive debt crisis the people of may countries are feeling financial pain not seen since the great depression of the 1920's and 1930's. Do we need a new model to work to? Is there an opportunity to work for yourself or is big business still the choice of the many?
