The 2011 National Football League Season Is Underway
by
Scott Lockett
Now that the first quarter of the National Football League's season is over, it is time to find out what to look for as the season goes until the Super Bowl takes place in February 2012. What to look for: 1. Indianapolis Colts For Colts fans, this was the year that Indy is supposed to contend for another Super Bowl, instead this campaign might be a total wash with 4 time MVP Peyton Manning on the sidelines after undergoing neck surgery a few weeks ago.

AFC South 2006 Preview and Projections
by
James Campbell
1) Indianapolis: The bad news for the Colts is that they lost key players RB Edgerrin James, PK Mike Vanderjagt, and some defensive talent to free agency, the good news is that they are a pass first team anyway which somewhat negates the loss of James and they were able to steal away PK Adam Vinatieri from the Patriots and the free agent hits the Colts took on the defensive side of the ball won't hurt much because of the comparatively weak division that the Colts reside in.

AFC South 2007 Previews and Projections
by
James Campbell
AFC South Division: 1) Indianapolis: The Colts will have a hard time repeating last years feat of winning it all, primarily because of their defense or lack thereof. Indianapolis owned the NFL's worst rushing defense last year, allowing on average 173 yards per game, but was able to cover this glaring deficiency with a strong defensive secondary.

Houston Texans - 3 Coaches Fired!
by
Robert Melkonyan
Defensive coordinator Richard Smith together with two other defensive coaches were fired by the Texans after Houston evaluated one of the worst league's defensive units. Secondary coach Jon Hoke, defensive coach Jethro Franklin and smith were fired after Houston completed 8-8 for the second season and unfortunately continued to rank near the bottom of the league in defense.

The Curious Case of Roy Helu - Fantasy Football
by
Cameron Sparks
With everything going on in Washington and their crazy coach, Mike "Shanigans" Shanahan, fantasy owners everywhere are wondering where in the world is Roy Helu! The only 2 games this year where Helu's gotten substantial touches, he's gone over 100 yards and been a great dual threat, owners are looking forward to more.

Ness Notes (July 27)
by
Larry Ness
The beat goes on for the LA Dodgers but the team has clearly lost its rhythm. The 10-3 loss to the Padres on Wednesday afternoon was LA's eighth straight loss and drops the club to a pathetic 1-13 since break, while getting outscored 81-29! LA gets a day off Thursday as the team awaits the Washington Nationals, who come to town for a three-game series beginning Friday.
