Hello from Chicago - Chinatown and Second City
by
Susanne Pacher
After thoroughly exploring the Pullman Historic District, we decided to check out Chinatown, one of the many ethnic neighbourhoods that Chicago has to offer. The weather had turned from cool and grey with the occasional peek of sunshine to dark, rainy and cold, so rather than walking around we decided to have an early dinner at a Chinatown restaurant called the Lobster King.

Dave Brubeck in Concert at Orchestra Hall. Chicago, Ill. Mid 60's
by
Sunni Knight
A true jazz fun remembers a Dave Brubeck
Gerry Mulligan concert in Chicago during the 1960's...The night of the event was cold and punctuated by some sort of weather disturbance that I, and my crew, (obviously) thought unremarkable for a Chicago winter. We were there to see the Dave Brubeck (featuring Paul Desmond) and Gerry Mulligan Quartets. And if we had to sit on top of the building we would have.
