Snow In Egypt

Snow In Egypt
The Egypt Evacuations Secret
by
Tony J Ridley
Unnecessary! Despite the wide spread acceptance that due to the evolving situation in Egypt, evacuations are the order of the day, evacuations are largely unnecessary and add to the continuous disturbing trend. Very rarely do citizens need to be evacuated.

The Sapporo Snow Festival - A World of Fascinating Snowmen
by
Geoff Cummings
Most children who live where it snows enjoy building a snowman. In Sapporo, in Japan's northern island of Hokkaido, snowmen come in all shapes and sizes, and it's adults who do the building. Some of these creations weigh over a thousand tons, and are breathtaking in their artistic detail.

Egypt - A New Adventure
by
Gary Wonning
Arriving in Egypt the day after Christmas in 1986, I began an incredible two week long adventure. Having never been out of the United States before, I had certainly picked an exotic place to begin my international travels. To top it all off, I was just recovering from an extreme bout with the intestinal flu and was really in no shape to travel. Due to the international situation in the middle east in 1986, security at Kennedy airport was extremely high and flying by Egypt Air didn't help matters any. An Iranian airliner had just been shot down the day before, so as we were about to board the plane, we were escorted to a small door behind which were five BIG Egyptian security guards with semi-automatic weapons, who thoroughly searched all of our carry on luggage, even taking the lens caps and lenses off cameras.

Camping Bedouin Style in the White Desert of Egypt
by
Debra Corbeil
Hopping into the back of a 4X4 jeep, gives a real sense of adventure. Bumping along the road in the intense heat surrounded by sand makes you fell as though you are in an Indiana Jones Movie. White monoliths jut out of the sand and become larger and more impressive until you reach your final destination. A campsite surrounded by the most amazing rock formations seen on this planet. Giant pure white sculptures resembling mushrooms, camels and hawks scatter the landscape. Made of chalk, these works of art are formed by wind and erosion. Solid enough to walk upon, yet so fragile that they can flake off with the stroke of a hand.

Platonic Fullerene Chemistry, Sir C P Snow and the Cure for Cancer
by
Robert Pope
Icons of the New Renaissance stories, under the auspices of the Science-Art Research Centre of Australia, are about the discoveries demonstrating that life-sciences can now be linked to fractal logic in defiance of the present scientific world view. In this article a 1957 book published by the New York University Library of Science links Einstein's E=Mc squared with the mathematics of Babylonian myth. Recent nano-technological discoveries show that Buckmister Fuller's synergistic world-view is needed to complete Einstein's limited understanding of the functioning of life-science energies. The 1937 Nobel laureate in medicine, Szent Gyorgyi, had developed similar concepts now found to resonate with discoveries made by the Science-Art Researsch Centre and the theories of Sir C P Snow, indicating that the bridging of the gulf between modern science and Classic Arts theory may be relevant to finding a cure for cancer. However, this cannot be investigated until Fuller's proposed World game Theory is programmed into a relevant suprercomputer allowing negentropic carbon signalling properties to be examined beyond the limitations of Einstein's understandingf of quantum mechanics.

Snap Peas and Snow Peas - The Fraternal Twins of Vegetables
by
Sharon Sweeny
Pea pods begin swelling on the vines in mid to late spring. These crisp, cool weather morsels produce a crop for just a few weeks while the nights are still cool. Once the warm summer nights arrive, pea pods fade away and stop producing.

Camping in Egypt's White Desert - A Surreal Experience
by
Pamela Bradley
Although most people who travel to Egypt spend on an average from 7-14 days in Cairo and along the Nile Valley viewing the ancient monuments, there are other adventures to be had a little off the beaten track. So if you have more than two weeks to visit this fascinating country join a desert safari and spend several nights under the stars. This can be done in Sinai or better still in a surreal world close to tiny Farafra Oasis.
