Cell Phones and Home Phones on the Do Not Call Registry
by
Lisa Carey
There is nothing more irritating than getting one of those calls that come just as you're sitting down for dinner. You answer to find your valuable time is taken up by some telemarketer trying to sell you something, solicit donations, or even worse, those automated calls that are simply a recorded message which are incredibly annoying. Over the past couple years we've heard of the "Do Not Call Registry"; however, many consumers are not quite sure what it is, the required information; you provide and how to go about registering a phone number to it.

The Silence Is Deafening Thanks to the National Do Not Call Registry
by
Rito Salomone
How many times have you been interrupted from watching your favorite television show, tucking the kids with a bedtime story or unwinding with your significant other, with a call from someone offering a free estimate on new windows? Perhaps you were the lucky winner of a Las Vegas vacation (if you attend a special seminar on timeshares). Maybe you were really unhappy with your current long distance provider?

Quick Telemarketing Guide For Sales Organizations to Avoid Do-Not-Call Registry Fines
by
Donald Yerke
VERY FEW sales offices doing their telemarketing own in house calls know the rules. First they believe that the Do-Not-Call Registry does not apply to them if they are calling fellow business people. WRONG. $11,000 Wrong. Others believe that if they are offering a career opportunity instead of selling a particular product, they are 100% in right in calling anyone by phone. WRONG.

The Difference Between Federal and State Do Not Call Registries
by
Dwayne Eisen
If you happen to live in a state that has its own Do Not Call registry, you may believe that you don't need to belong to the larger Federal Do Not Call list. However, it is always a good idea to belong to them both and you aren't cancelling out any particular kind of protection by being on two lists at once. However, both types of lists do feature large loopholes that can be used by companies to get around not being able to call you.
