by
Jake Langwith
Now Terry Wogan is a TV personality here in the UK and I am sure everyone remembers his chat show on BBC1 and his often amusing coverage of the Eurovision song contest. But did you know that he suffered a house fire last year?

Best of a Brand Bunch
by
Stuart Noton
Happy Birthday to Terry Wogan KBE, 71 years old today! (August 3rd) Revered as a British national treasure despite being Irish, Terry is one of our best loved and most loathed celebrities. Rising to fame in the 1960's on Irish radio and subsequently Radio One, he moved to the smooth sounds of Radio Two in the early 1970's.

Who Is the World's Best DJ?
by
Sam Qam
Disc Jockey's or DJs have been around since Leon Scott invented the phonograph back in 1857. The term was coined in America in 1935 when Walter Winchell nicknamed a radio announcer called Martin Block after the 'disc' which he played and 'jockey' as someone who operates a device. The term has stuck and DJs have become one of the most popular types of artist around the world.

Making House Fire Insurance Claims
by
Robin Fry
The recent house fire at the Buckinghamshire home of broadcaster Sir Terry Wogan highlights the risks we all face of an outbreak of fire in our home. Even when every precaution is made to avoid such a disaster, house fires can still be unavoidable. Will your insurance cover you if your home and possessions are destroyed by fire?

Eurovision Song Contest - Kiss My Butt Neighbours
by
Andy Staveley
The Eurovision Song Contest has to be the most laughable Song Contest of all time. East Europeans get to rig each member countries votes and the Greeks and Greek Cypriots dont even try to hide it. Isn't it time to end this nonsense?

World's Most Expensive Ferrari Bought by British Radio DJ
by
Tom Doerr
After taking over from the ever popular Terry Wogan, Chris Evans increased the weekly listeners to over 9.5 million, the largest radio audience in the UK on his BBC Radio 2 morning slot, beating Wogan by nearly 2 million. He must have figured the best way to celebrate was to buy a vintage 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO for an astounding 12 million. The Ginger haired Radio mogul has a large garage of classic and modern Ferraris, with his splurge more than doubling the 5 million he spent on a 250 GT SWB California Spyder last year.

Jobs, DWPs and the Smell of Historic Trends
by
Jai Cox
A casual observation would suggest: This glorious apparent economy slump. That which was once and / or is perhaps again. (Smell an historic trend, anyone?) And naturally if you are on the dole - welfare for those outside UK constraints - financial depression and fear of your Just Over Broke coming to an end will mean pretty much nothing to you.

Setting Up Home Multimedia Systems
by
James Hunter
The trend towards integrated control and signal distribution systems in the home is increasing. This leads to much conflicting advice and confusion over the systems approach to be adopted. We attempt here to provide a general overview of the applications you might wish to include in an initial system and those which may be required in the future, accordingly building into your system now, an infrastructure which will have a degree of future proofing is considered a sensible and cost effective approach.
