by
John R. Olson
In the 2008 season, Mark Sanchez stepped up into the role as the dominant college quarterback people have come to expect out of Southern Cal. He began the season strong as he torched a supposedly dominant Ohio State team in week 2 for 4 touchdowns.

Mark Sanchez Jets Jerseys Already Spotted Everywhere in New York
by
Jake Emen
Before the former USC quarterback ever stepped onto an NFL field, authentic Mark Sanchez jerseys were already extremely popular throughout the New York area. The team and its fans haven't been this excited about a player since a guy named Joe Namath went to the team after college. Don't be the last fan you know without a new Mark Sanchez jersey.

Not So Fast, Mr Sanchez
by
Jimmy Sandifer
The Jets' game against the Panthers this past Saturday night was a harsh reminder to all that while Mark Sanchez may have improved during the off-season, he has a long way to go before becoming the main cog of the Jets' offense. If the Jets win in 2010, it will be because of their defense. You don't need an expert to tell you that.

Sanchez's Promotion to Jets Quarterback Might Have USC's Coach Fuming - Again
by
Dr. Gary S. Goodman
Mark Sanchez left USC early after only one season of play as the team's quarterback. His coach, the ever-verbal, wear it all on your sleeve, Pete Carroll, said Sanchez was making a big mistake by turning pro, prematurely. He needed more seasoning, more time at the helm of college football's most visible west coast team, seemingly a perennial BCS contender. Carroll implied in a widely re-played press conference that Sanchez, despite his gifts, just wasn't ready. Now, about seven months later, Sanchez has been named the starting quarterback for The New York Jets, as a first year rookie. This has to make Pete Carroll and every other big school sports administrator red-hot and sweating bullets.
