by
Milton Johanides
At last, someone with the flair and guts to take on the banking system. Bob Crow, trade union leader, today boycotted yet another establishment speech along the line of "everyone should share the pain" given to trade unions by Bank of England Governor Mervin King. By this gesture Crow won himself a platform including news channel interviews from which to express the concern of workers worldwide that they are being used as scapegoats to pay the price of the recession.

Counting Crows - Mr Jones
by
James L. Flynn
For Bay Area rock band Counting Crows, Mr Jones was their best-selling song ever. The track came off of their 1993 debut album August and Everything After, and the video for the song happened to be released in the same week as Kurt Cobain's tragic death. Did that help or hurt?

The Crow's Throne

The death-bird alights atop the weathervane, raking his terrible gaze across the marshland of recent rains. Steady plop, drip of rainwater, trickling down the drainpipe, the beady black eyes stare at the two-legged ground-walker's miserable figure, stumbling to get through this marsh.

A Frustrating Day's Pigeon Shooting
by
Troy Jeffery
With the vast array of decoying equipment on the market these days, it's a wonder why so many people struggle to achieve red letter days. Surely having bought the latest flapping, whirling, bouncing, bobbing, pecking, flocked this and U.V that, we should be guaranteed a bountiful result. We've paid our hard earned cash, we've read all the reviews, we have spoken to others who prolifically boast of numbers for which we could only dream of.We have it all, so why oh why aren't we getting those illusive large bags? We go to the clay ground to check our shot, it's not bad. We talk to others about chokes, what kind of cartridge to use? So what's going wrong?

The Timid Yet Intelligent Shetland Sheepdog
by
Jennifer Elmakis
Also known as the Shetlie, the Shetland sheepdog is reminiscent of a miniature collie. Whilst some are bred specifically to be somewhat smaller than normal, there are many who have also been bred in order to be much larger versions of the originating Shetland sheepdog. The Shetlie is a truly stunning dog that boasts a trim and sturdy body and a face that is similar to that of a fox, making it truly beautiful in appearance.

Visit Shetland For a Memorable Experience
by
Ivor Mouat
Visit Shetland for a memorable experience and discover for yourself what you've been missing. A list of Shetland islands is a list of Norse names, a legacy from earlier times from before a time when Scotland ruled the northern isles. Some 15 inhabited islands amid an archipelago of around 100 islands make up Shetland today. There are 22,000 people here where nature and wildlife blends into normality. Where the coastal scenery takes your breath away, and where untouched landscapes outnumber developed urban areas.

A Shetland Islands Journey
by

No Shetland islands journey could be complete without seeing the Simmer Dim or Up-Helly-Aa, visiting all the islands, experiencing a real force-10 gale, a Folk Festival concert, the Fetlar Foy, enjoying a day on Foula or a walk up Ronas Hill, throwing a stone from the Atlantic Ocean to the North Sea at Mavis Grind. To be honest, a proper visit to the Shetland islands is more than just seeing the notable places and buildings. It's an experience.

Discover the Shetland Islands
by
Ivor Mouat
The Shetland islands lie to the far north of Scotland, past John O' Groats and the Orkney islands, almost halfway to the Faroe islands. Yet, despite their northern latitude, the climate in this far flung island group is surprisingly benign; it rarely gets too cold and unfortunately, never overly hot either. It has been said that Shetland doesn't have a climate - just weather. Often you can experience weather typical of all four seasons in one single day. But perhaps that simply adds to the charm that is Shetland.

Shetland Pony - Known As the Sheltie
by
Kathryn Dalziel
The Shetland pony is the smallest of all pony breeds and in relation to size the strongest. Records of its existence in the Shetland Isles north of Scotland date back many centuries to the Bronze Age. Shetland Sheepdog
by
Scott Allan Lipe
The Shetland sheepdog is somewhat reminiscent, in look, of Collies and particularly so as a smaller version of the Ruff coated collie. Standing 13-17 inches in height and weighing 14 to 28 pounds. they are classed as a medium-sized dog. Their head is in proportion to their size, and with a slight tapering of the muzzle towards the nose, giving it a blunt wedge shape when seen in profile. They have dark coloured eyes, which are an almond shape.

Need For Speed Goes Back To Its Roots With Hot Pursuit But Is It Any Good?

Finally need for speed returns to its roots with Need for Speed Hot Pursuit. Quotations #27

Patricia Nordman
*From the very summit of his sorrows, where he had gone to die, Moses, for the first time in his life, caught a view of the land of Canaan. He did not know, as he went over the rocks, torn and weary, how lovely the prospect was from the top. In this world, it frequently happens that when man has reached the place of anguish, God rolls away the mist from his eyes, and the very spot selected as the receptacle of his tears, becomes the place of his highest rapture. Johnny Smith - Solo Jazz Guitar Master
by
Steve M Herron
Johnny Smith is just one of the most exceptional guitarists to come to prominence after Charlie Christian and Django Reinhardt made their marks on the jazz guitar music scene. Equally at home with a jazz group or a studio orchestra, as a bandleader or an unaccompanied soloist, in a duet with a vocalist or a pop music tape-recording session, he is just one of a little handful of jazz artists whose work achieved fantastic public recognition at the very beginning of his professional career.

Experienced traders recognize the effects of global changes on Foreign Exchange (Forex/FX) markets, stock markets and futures markets. Factors such as interest rate decisions, inflation, retail sales, unemployment, industrial productions, consumer confidence surveys, business sentiment surveys, trade balance and manufacturing surveys affect currency movement. While traders could monitor this information manually using traditional news sources, profiting from automated or algorithmic trading utilizing low latency news feeds is an often more predictable and effective trading method that can increase profitability while reducing risk.

Suresh Iyer
Mario Balotelli has become a legend of Premier League football in a very short span of time and not just for his on-field antics of which there is no dearth. And that trend makes Balotelli all the more popular with followers of the game. In this article I take a look at the top five off-field controversies that Manchester City's star Italian striker was involved in during the year 2011:

Suresh Iyer
Table toppers Manchester City take on Arsenal in match week 16 of the Premier League when the teams clash on Sunday, December 18, 2011. Man City suffered their first loss of the league season when they went down 2-1 away at Chelsea, in match week 15. In match week 15, Arsenal registered a 1-0 victory over Everton, in a match hosted by Gunners at the Emirates. Robin Van Persie - who else - scored the only goal of the game to give Arsenal something to celebrate their 125th anniversary by. With Chelsea causing City's title bid a mild jolt in match week 15, the Manchester squad will have a point or more to prove against the Gunners whose ramshackle defence could be put to its stiffest test yet.
