Ted Cruz
Ted Cruz, Our New Senator From Texas
by
JC Spencer
It was the most expensive Senate race in U.S. history. Ted Cruz is not your normal politician and he was opposed by the establishment but supported by the people. I first met Ted when he was about twelve. His father and mother were dear friends and it was in their home where I first got acquainted. Ted's father, Raphael, fled from Cuba after becoming a political prisoner under Castro. He fled Cuba to Austin, Texas with $100 sawn into his underwear. He and I become best of friends, business partners and, more importantly, prayer partners.

Penelope Cruz spent Saturday partying away at the first night of superstar Prince's Los Angeles residency at the Hollywood Roosevelt hotel on Saturday. Apparently tickets for his latest gigs are going for almost $4000! Now that's what you could call an investment!

All the Pretty Horses - a Lost Treasure
by
Joseph Eric Smith
For a lot of us this wonderful movie has been lost since the year 2000. I have read several reviews rating this as a poor movie but I found it to the contrary; an excellent and spellbinding movie that left me wanting for more!

Why Dance, Why Not - A Book Review on Dancing
by
Lance Winslow
Over the years, I've been very impressed with what Sir Ken Robinson has to say about creativity in our schools. He explains the problem with rote memorization, and seems to speak with the aversion that most Americans have with the No Child Left Behind legislation (NCLB). Some of my friends have called the NCLB Legislation; the No Child Allowed to Advance directive. I guess in some regards I do agree with that observation. In one of Sir Ken Robinson's most famous TED Talk, he suggests that we ought to be teaching dance in our schools, yes dance.

We Need A GOP Revolution Aimed At Replacing Top RNC Officials, Representatives, And Consultants
by
Tim Lee Doyle
The Republican elites are not perpetuating the principles or the Republican voter base. Elites like Karl Rove believe politics is about winning elections. I say politics is about principles.

With the up and coming republican convention August 27-30th in Tampa Florida how successful will it be. All 50 states will be represented by a total 2,286 delegates and 2,125 alternate delegates. The District of Columbia and five U.S. territories will also be present.

How Does the Health Care Debate Affect the Republican's Chances in the Mid - Term Elections?
by
Douglas M Midgley, JD
The need for health care coverage for millions of uninsured Americans is acute, and yet implementation of The Affordable Care Act - the President's health care law found constitutional by the United States Supreme Court earlier this year - is still vehemently opposed by the Republican Party even to the point that they are considering shutting down the government to prevent its funding. Let there be no doubt about it, there is a huge political fight brewing for the upcoming mid-term congressional elections between the wealthy with health care coverage - "the haves", and those far less fortunate who have no health care coverage - "the have-nots".

Don't Worry, Democrats: The GOP Has Your Back
by
Larry M. Elkin
Obamacare's flaws should give Democrats political heartburn, but the GOP offers relief. Republicans, who have no coherent health care plan of their own, may yet provide the cure for Democrats' political ills by shouldering a big share of the blame.

Movie Reviews - The Human Contract
by
Dan Stevens
It stars Jason Clarke (Farscape) as Julian Wright as a strategist for a firm that is about to merge for a 5 billion dollar franchise, where incidentally Julian is about to head the company from the retiring boss E.J. Winters, played by a grey-haired Ted Danson (Cheers), but there are twists in store for Julian and you soon realise he has a lot of issues to deal with. We join our protagonist as he is in a bar chatting with a stunning seductress played by Paz Vega who strangely enough is called Michael.
