Satyagraha (Yearning for Truth) - The Principle Operating Behind Nature and Creation
by
Bhaskar Banerjee
It may appear paradoxical that consciously or unconsciously, in ninety-nine of our thousand acts, the governing principle is that of love. Even in the regulation of relations, we are bound to apply the propelling power of Satyagraha (a Truth Desire).

A Tour To Dandi
by
Mamta Pabreja
Dandi is situated on the coastline, at a distance of 5 kms from the heart of the city, Surat. This is center for salt production. It also has historical importance, as Gandhiji in March, 1930 had performed famous 'Dandi March Salt Satyagraha' here, against Salt laws of British Government. Gandhiji and his 78 followers had walked about 241 miles from Sabarmati Ashram to Dandi. This was one of the movement, which helped India to get independence.

The People of India
by
Carlton R. Smith
Readily recognizable to the rest of the world as Indians, the people of the Subcontinent are of many distinguishable groups, both ethnic and religious. Social and cultural divisions as well as the ubiquitous caste system further diversify the population. The basic characteristics of the Indian people may be attributed to the geographical isolation of the country. The well defined boundaries of high mountains and sea have sufficed to enclose a culture which has evolved with little foreign intervention for thousands of years.

Jumping Jacks Take Centre Stage
by
Mearl Colaco
What on earth is happening, may I ask? What started with a noble effort to install an effective anti-corruption and grievance redressal system by the 15th Aug 2011 deadline, ended up in a fish market like ceremony, in which everyone including politicians, bureaucrats, aam-aadmi and spiritual leaders are resorting to the Satyagraha movement at the drop of a hat. Some leaders of course genuinely resort to Satyagraha, for bringing about a positive change for the betterment of the nation and her people.

Spirit of Reunion, Peace Words
by
Connie Wayne
Yesterday I published a blog titled "Dalai Lama, President Obama, and Spirit of Reunion." Subsequent to reading and writing the words "spirit of reunion," I added them to my word collection, filed under universal peace. Why? Because I believe in the power of words, and I love to speak and write words that create powerful resonance and reaction.

by
Rajni Seth
India was under the rule of the British for nearly 100 years, finally attaining complete freedom on the 15th of August, 1947. Common people from different parts of the country came forward to join the freedom struggle. There are many who have gone unnamed for their selfless acts to achieve a free India. These people may have not been given any award or credit, but they will always be remembered in the hearts of every Indian.

Gandhi - Movie
by
Nikita Gharat
The craft of filmmaking is not usually about delivering a beautiful piece of art; not only about entertaining the audience but also about connecting them with the soul of the film. The essence lies in the makers ability to maintain the authenticity of the subject even as he mystifies the story.

How Mahatma Gandhi Stalled Kashmir's Independence
by
Kashmir Blog
M. K. Gandhi, pioneer and perfector of Satyagraha - the resistance of tyranny through mass civil disobedience, played a very shadowy role in the politics of Kashmir. He was successful in preventing the Maharaja of Kashmir from declaring independence and thus paved the way for a forceful accession of Kashmir. This article details how.
