Arsenal Vs Barcelona in the Champions League Draw
by
Mark S. Reid
A fierce rivalry is poised to renew when Arsenal takes on Barcelona in the round of 16 at the European Cup in Champions League play. Arsenal, the world's third-most valuable football club, brings an awesome attack to bear, even though the men from North London lost to the top-ranked Spanish club in the finals in 2006 and again last year in the quarter-finals. Manager Arsene Wenger insists that his club isn't bent on revenge, though.

No Premier League Side in the Semi-Final of the Champions League! Is it a Sign of EPL's Fall?
by
Michael Tobechukwu
Firm followers of UEFA competitions and most especially the Champions League, can attest to the reality that there have been EPL sides in the semi-final of the champions league for the previous six seasons i.e. 2003-2009. In the past six seasons, EPL sides regular in the champions league (Liverpool FC, Manchester United FC, Chelsea FC and Arsenal FC) have all some way featured in the semi-final of the champions league in the past six seasons, which made English and even foreigners marvel at their absence this season, in the semi-final of Europe's elite club competition.

Rik Sanchez-Talavera
With the final stages of the Groups drawing ever nearing, Europe's biggest clubs are desperately trying to ensure, not only that they qualify for the knock-put stages but that they finish their group in first place. Coming second could mean being drawn against one of the main contenders for the most prize trophy in club football, and no club want's to be knocked out in the last 16 just because they failed to finish top of their group.

Champions League Club Profile - CSKA Moskva
by
Paul Gore
Since the European Cup was made over into the Champions League in 1993, no team from the former Eastern Bloc has claimed the European crown. The only team from the East to have made an impact during that time was Dynamo Kyiv in the late 1990's.
