Jeanette Symons Packed a Lot Into a Tragically Short Life
by
Lisa J. Lehr
Sometimes a tragedy hits close to home, and sometimes it does so quite literally. Such was the tragedy that occurred on Friday, February 1, 2008, when a Cessna Citation C-525 crashed into the woods near West Gardiner, Maine, just minutes after takeoff from Augusta State Airport. The pilot was Jeanette Symons, 45; her sole passenger, her son, Balan, 10. Apparently eager to return home after a week attending ski camp at Sugarloaf, they took off in extremely unfavorable weather conditions. Neither survived.

Confession Of A Salsa Addict
by
Rodney Aquino
Is salsa dancing an addiction or just a hobby? Think about it, look back in your life and try to recall how you got started in salsa and how you have changed now. Maybe you can relate to this confession.

The 3 Most Influential Baseball Players From the Dominican Republic of All Time
by
Jim Bain
The Dominican Republic has produced an ample supply of major league baseball players over the last 50 years. Whether it's the weather, which is conducive to playing baseball year around or the squallier of poverty some of these players came from, the motivation and results are apparent. There is no indication the supply of fresh talent will shrink.

Airport Hookups
by
David Wygant
First of all, airports are places that women go to connect to other places, right? If you think about the psychology of the airport, about half the time you're traveling for business, and the other half you're traveling for pleasure. But 100% of the time you want it to be pleasure.

Sex, Romance, and Redemption
by
Douglas Cobb
Sexy, sweet, and touching are three words I'd use to describe the fantastic novel, Hana-lani, by the talented author Christine Sunderland. There is a definite theme of hope and the possibility for redemption that runs through the novel, but Hana-lani's tone never gets heavy.

Mystery Flight Over Java (Short Story)
by
Dennis Siluk Dr.h.c.
Of my fatherland and my friends I have little to say. Perhaps the length of years I have lived, now sixty-one, have motivated me if not obsessed me, from the one to travel the world and find its mysteries, and alienated me from the other, for few can I find to trust, befriend, without self-interest at every corner, and at my expense.

Why I'll Buy Running Boards and Lowering Springs for My Jeep
by
Jimmy Plant
I had just finished my last day of work and I was stoked. I loved working as a financial adviser, but I had made enough from my own investments to comfortably retire. My big plan was to get out of the rat race altogether, leave San Francisco and move to Italy-just me and my trusty Jeep...

The Death of Dorothy Hunt - Probing the Assassination of JFK, Part 2
by
Sherman De Brosse
What could a woman's death in a Chicago airport plane crash have to do with the death of John F. Kennedy? Her husband was Howard Hunt, a retired CIA agent, and Richard Nixon thought he knew a lot about the assassination of JFK.

A Murder Investigation Gone Awry
by
Norton Nowlin
Most present-day murder investigations are routinely thorough, especially if they are conducted by state and city law enforcement agencies. This is primarily because state and municipal police agencies are, by and large, routinely independent in their ferreting-out of the facts of each case by scientific crime scene analysis. And, in most cases, they eventually discover, and arrest, the guilty suspect, who is later tried, and ultimately convicted and sentenced for the crime.
