Inheritance Rights - They All Started With The Magna Carta
by
Bill G Peterson
Often my Minnesota clients ask why some of the procedures in probate and inheritance matters seem complicated and sometimes old fashioned. The truth of the matter is that many of these procedures follow English Common Law precedents dating from the thirteenth century.

Magna Carta: An Unintentional Birth To Fundamental Rights
by
Chris N Scott
If you want to experience history with your very own eyes, and have the opportunity, you can now view one of the few surviving copies of the Magna Carta inside the National Archives in Washington, DC. It is one of only 4 surviving copies of the 1297 issuance. I have been able to personally view the document and it was a very impressive experience to say the least.

The Magna Carta Is On Sale
by
Kristen Borg
That's a headline I never thought I'd read, but its true. Sotheby's Auctioneers, who specialize in antique appraisals and auctions in New York, is expected to announce that the historical document will be put up for auction some time in mid-December and they estimate that it will sell for $20 million - $30 million. The owner is none other than former presidential candidate, Ross Perot.

Why Did England Sell the Original Magna Carta to Wealthy US Citizens - That's a Scary Thought
by
Lance Winslow
Back during the Bush Administration after the major fighting had stopped in Iraq and partial victory was declared, the new interim Iraqi government met to come up with a constitution to help guide their nation forward and to unite the Sunny, Shia, and Kurds so they could begin rebuilding. Unfortunately, there were still many who were bitter from the internal sectarian violence and some old republican guard still around making it nearly impossible to come to any consensus on a constitution.

Bury St Edmunds - An Explanation of Its Motto
by
John Pitcher
The motto of Bury St Edmunds is "shrine of a king, cradle of the law". "Shrine of a king" refers to the fact that St Edmund was buried in the town; "cradle of the law" refers to the town's role in the signing of Magna Carta.

The Android Meme Ordo Ab Chao
by
Scott Thomas
I was sleeping last night and had a electrifying dream that I was in the Matrix and being chased thru dark endless metallic tunnels to nowhere by Androids of the third kind. I kept asking myself if I was in the simulated mind funk of Zion... Then just as I was just about to be caught, I awoke in a diabolical sweat. Whew, now that was a close call! Back to reality, which now brings us to this new album I'm intently listening to... The Android Meme - "Ordo Ab Chao".
