India vs West Indies
Finally A New Dawn For The West Indies?
by
Joe Lobo
Ignored by the controversy surrounding India's decision to call off a Test Match needing 86 runs off 90 balls was the continued improvement of their counterparts. Since a 2-1 series loss against Australia in 1995, the West Indies have fallen spectacularly from their position at the top of the cricketing world. Players such as Clive Lloyd, Malcolm Marshall and Sir Viv Richards (to name a few) retired during a 5 year period which devastated a younger side in the long term.

Gupte's Day at the Green Park - 9-102 Against West Indies (1959)
by
Madan G Singh
Subhas Gupte is recognized as the greatest spinner produced by India. With 149 test wickets in 36 Test matches Gupte certainly deserves entry into crickets hall of fame. We must remember that these 149 wickets were taken when the fielding was the weak point of the Indian team and catches were spilled by the galore.

by
Madan G Singh
Cricket is a wonderful game and I have followed it for almost 4 decades plus. Over the years, I have watched umpteen test matches and witnessed some truly great innings. But the innings that created the most profound effect on me was the one played by Gundappa Vishwanath against the West Indies in 1974.

A New Look Kensington Oval Should Help Revive West Indies Cricket
by
Hamilton Barrow
One major benefit the West Indies gain from hosting ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 was the development of the cricket infrastructure around the Caribbean. The tournament came at a time when cricket grounds needed a major upgrade and with cricket possibly at its lowest ebb.

by
Darrell Victor
Gus Logie is a former right-handed, middle-order batsman for the West Indies. A diminutive player and exceptional outfielder, Logie played for the West Indies from 1983 to 1991-when they were a champion team. West Indies Players - Wes Hall
by
Darrell Victor
Wesley Winfield Hall is one of the greats of West Indies cricket. In his prime, he was a fearsome fast bowler - in terms of not only his wicket-taking ability but also the danger he posed to typically unprotected batsmen. The partnership of Hall and Griffith was a precursor to the West Indian pace machine of the late 70s and 80s and was much like the partnership of Ambrose and Walsh in the 90s.
