Ilya Kovalchuk
Kovalchuk to Leafs - A Clarification
by
Micheal Aldred
I would first like state that I am addressing this rumor because it is, in fact, circulating around the league that Toronto is interested in the Atlanta Thrashers' sniper Ilya Kovalchuk. Yes, this rumor did come to light due to an Eklund blog, but no, it is not fake. In fact, every team in the league would love to get their hands on Kovalchuk.

The Devils' First Six-Million Dollar Man
by
A. Albert
Which one of you can tell me which New Jersey Devil player is the original six-million dollar man? I know that a lot you Devils' fans would say, Ilya Kovalchuk, the team's alternate captain, and I understand how most of you might think of him as your first choice. Who wouldn't? He holds the NHL record for the longest contract after signing an extension deal worth $100-million for 15 years, but he is not who I'm talking about. The Devils' original six-million dollar man is none other than his co-captain, Patrik Elias.

NHL Off-Season Moves - Fantasy Impact
by
Gary J. Wilson
Most of the major off season moves this summer were obviously made with an eye towards capturing the Cup. While these deals will play a big role in the fortunes of these NHL franchises, they barely register on the radar in terms of fantasy hockey impact.

NHL 2011-12 Top 30 Fantasy Rankings
by
Sahil Sachdeva
For me, Sid the Kid is undoubtedly the best player in hockey and that's why he sits at the top of my list. Crosby was having the best season of his career last year and was dominating the NHL. He had 66 points after 41 games but then suffered a concussion that sadly ended his season. If Crosby doesn't run into injury problems, he easily makes it over the 100 point mark.

Top 10 Fantasy Hockey Wingers for 2011-12
by
Gary J. Wilson
The cupboard is stocked with fantasy talent at the wings. As you prepare for your fantasy draft, be sure to know you league's system. Some leagues group wingers together, others discern between left and right wing, and others still group all offense together. If your league drafts by position, be sure to focus on the left wing position. Aside from the elite (Ovechkin/Sedin), the left is not nearly as deep in talent as the right side. Be sure to snag a left winger early, and if you're lucky enough to draft in the top 4 or 5, be sure and grab Ovie or Daniel there.

2010-11 Atlanta Thrashers NHL Predictions and Odds
by
Nicholas Tolomeo
The Atlanta Thrashers finished second in the Northeast Division last year. It's too bad for Atlanta because second place in the division was only good enough for 10th place in the Eastern Conference.
