"Chicago" Shows Two Murderesses Who Beat the Rap in a Fight for Fame
by
Ed Bagley
The musical "Chicago" is absolutely everything it was cracked up to be. A superb cast of singers and dancers under the direction of Rob Marshall brought Chicago together in a super professional, entertaining romp that generated 13 Oscar nominations and won 6 in addition to 30 wins and 52 nominations from other award groups. Winning Oscars at the Academy Awards were Catherine Zeta-Jones for Best Supporting Actress, Chicago for Best Picture, Best Sound, Best Editing, Best Costume Design and Best Art Direction.

Hellboy II - The Golden Army
by
Jonathan K. King
Hellboy II: The Golden Army surpasses the original Hellboy (2004) in many important ways. It has more heart, more character, and a story conflict that isn't easily resolved with nothing but violence. There are lots of fighting, make up art and cool special effects, but that's not the essence this time around.

Dressed to Kill?
by
Ramesh Justin
The heading seems to be assuming an eerie truth if one were to consider the number of people that 'die' to make those killer dresses that we wear. A recent investigation by Liz Jones of Mail Online reveals that most of our high street fashion brands like Primark, H
M, Calvin Klein, Florence, Life
Style and Fred are outsourced from ghetto like factories in the third world (especially Bangladesh which employs 3 million garment workers). These workers, mostly children who should really be in a classroom are overworked and under paid with scant regard to health care, safety in the...

Brain Stimulation Devices and Augmented Reality Computer Games - Future is Near, It's Here
by
Lance Winslow
There seems to be many interesting patents which have been filed lately in regards to computer gaming. Microsoft, Sony, and others have been really filing a ton of somewhat telling patents which seem to point to an augmented reality future, which will start with the gaming sector, as in Xbox and other systems. Already we see the military and industry setting up simulation training using similar systems, perhaps more robust and more costly, but essentially the future of the computer game sector is foretold in these technologies.

Spring Training Preview - Baltimore Orioles
by
Chuck Zodda
The Orioles are coming off of a last place finish in arguably the toughest division in baseball, the American League East. Their 68 wins was the fifth-worst total in baseball, which could possibly allow for the case that the Orioles are not going anywhere anytime soon. However, as the case of the Tampa Bay Rays last year showed, significant improvement is possible with good talent evaluation and development programs in place that allow for strong young talent to make its mark. While the Orioles do not have the surplus of talent that the Rays had following multiple top-5 picks in the amateur draft, they do have a strong young core that should show improvement this year and possibly contend for the AL East or a wildcard birth within a couple of years if they add one or two more pieces. What will hold them back in 2009 is their weak pitching staff that is still lacking in the prospects that are still in the developmental phase. Once those pitching prospects start to reach the majors in the next two years, the Orioles could see dramatic improvement.

Film Review of Hellboy 2
by
Paul AJ Evans
After a very brief history lesson, Hellboy 2 begins with a bespectacled John Hurt telling the young Hellboy a story. Many years ago, Elf Prince Nuada created an army of mechanical monsters to do his bidding. Long dormant, a crown split into three pieces stops them from being released, and you just know we're about to see Red take them on as an older, wise-cracking, pistol wielding superhero dude.

Our Obession With Celebrities
by
Jennifer Hughs
Why should I care about celebrities? For that matter, why should any of us? Celebrities are fascinating because they live in a parallel universe-one that looks and feels just like ours yet is light-years beyond our reach. We are obsessed with looking trim and fit just like our celebrity idols. How do you lose those extra pounds when you're preparing to go on tour, need to be on the red carpet, or are flying to meet a photographer in some exotic location?

Film Review of Hellboy (2004)
by
Robin Maxwell
"How big can it be? " Some things are just waiting for. It was a long time coming, but for director Guillermo del Toro, Hellboy was certainly worth the wait. Nurturing his dream project for years before he was finally able to secure a modest budget, Del Toro got to make his adaptation of Mike Mignola's distinctive comic character, 'his way'. Spurning the offers of studio executives with their ridiculous suggestions (Hellboy as a normal man who turns red when he is angry!), Del Toro was uncompromising in his vision and held firm until he got the right offer.

Casual Wedding Invitations
by
Bridget Mora
Not every wedding is a lavish black tie affair held in a grand ballroom. For some couples, a backyard bash, a reception in a state park, or a small gathering in a restaurant is their idea of the perfect wedding. When your wedding style is relaxed, your invitations should also be informal. These are some great ideas for casual wedding invitations.
