Dump Boehner - A No-Brainer
by
Scott Spiegel
President Barack Obama wants the Bush tax cuts of 2001 and 2003 extended at the end of this year for only those making under $250,000, and not for small business owners and two-income families-sorry, "the filthy, stinking rich." Republicans, including House Minority Leader John Boehner, want all of them renewed.

The Cure For Boredom
by
Kaylene S Mathews
Life can get routine, mundane and flat out boring at times. Some use that as an excuse, while others use it as a challenge. Which do you do? Which will give you the results you want?

What Do the 'Older' Folk Do?
by
Anne Reinicke
My daughter recently asked me what 'seniors' look for when they travel. What do we like to do? Where do we like to go? I've never thought of travel in relation to my age, or my gender. To me, traveling has always meant part of the fulfillment of life itself!

The Power of Full Engagement
by
Andre Kibbe
Tony Schwartz' The Power of Full Engagement is a transformational book, especially with for anyone concerned with time management as the key to enhanced productivity. Instead of managing time to become more productive and fulfilled, The Power of Full Engagement focuses on managing energy, based on co-author Jim Loehr's work with the world-class athletes.

Rush Deconstructed for the Media Matters Crowd
by
Scott Spiegel
The congenitally leftist site Media Matters regularly collects "controversial" quotes by conservative personalities and displays them on its website for liberals to gawk at. It's supposed to be self-evident to visitors how insane these statements are. Evidently this soft-sell strategy works, as evidenced by the reams of snarky remarks dumped in the comments section by loyal readers. Rush Limbaugh is of course a favorite target of Media Matters. Please join me while I deconstruct a sampling of contentiously worded but eminently sensible recent Rush quotes (thanks to David Swindle for post idea).
