Black Education - Is it Needed? Part 2
by
Pamela A Hamilton
What does black education have to do with the Western time line since the European Renaissance? Part 1 of this article established that Western scholars, during the period before Copernicus, believed that the sun revolved around the earth. This may be a possible analogy for what has happened to Westernized black scholars as many educated blacks seem to take Western scholarship as gospel truth without question.

Why Am I Discontented?
by
Stephen Russell-Lacy
Brian Moore the former English rugby international player sees something of the dissatisfied person in himself. What he wanted was success. And he pushed himself really hard over and over again to do well. He now recognises that whether it be in sport, business or whatever field you are in, if you are too driven you can drive yourself into the ground. Some people have high ambition and specific goals to match. But those of them who are too driven are not happy even when they get to where they wanted to be.

Painting En Plein Air: A Fumbling Trek Into the Wilds of New Zealand
by
Michael R Britton
Painting en plein air (in the open air) is one of my greatest pleasures. It gets me out of the studio and into nature and after a short two hour session I am fully reinvigorated and ready to tackle whatever life decides to throw at me that day. Be sure to travel light. You obviously cannot pack up your entire studio and hump it into the wild. You wouldn't make it to the end of the block. Just a few brushes, a very limited selection of colors, a half-box French easel and a tasty snack is all that is needed to join the esteemed ranks of en plein air painters.
