Why Is The NHL Draft The Greatest Draft
by
Robb Dahlen
The NHL Draft is a time for hope for every fan of every team. Any pick can be the next great player for your team or the next favorite player for you or anyone in the world and could inspire some little kid to start playing the game. A team can find any kind of player in the NHL Draft. There's always great players in the first round but great players can be found in every round of the draft. The bottom line is every player picked by every team has a story that has brought them to this point in their lives.

by
Scott Semmler

by
Mark Barnes

by
Judy Chaffee
Washington Capitals general manager George McPhee, in speaking of his team's 24th selection in the NHL Draft this weekend in Montreal, said, "It's going to be an even bigger challenge this year to hit one out of the park, but we're going to try to do it." This year's 24th is the latest that the team has selected in nearly a decade, but McGee said that he expects to stay with his basic tenet of going after the very best talent available to the team regardless of position.

by
Gary J. Wilson
March can be a very troubling month for hockey fans. It's this time of year that roughly 1/4 of fans are placed in the unfair position of outwardly cheering for their team to win, while inwardly, (almost subconsciously) almost hoping they lose.
