Italy vs. Brazil was what awaited us on that day in the summer of 82, as all those who supported Italy in my family gathered along with those who tended to support Argentina; with the intentions of backing "la squadra azurra". It was not love for Italy but not wanting Brazil to get a fourth that made Argentines back "la nazionale" that day yet regardless of reason we were all united.

Guido Masetti (1929-43) - Roma have never had a truly world-class goalkeeper, so the choice came down between Masetti, and Franco Tancredi who won the Serie A title in 1983. Masetti played for Roma his whole career, making 339 league appearances. He was an important element in Roma's first-ever Scudetto success in 1942, while he also picked up two World Cup winners medals as a non-playing squad member for Italy in 1934 and 1938.

Barcelona were guests of Atletico Madrid at the Vicente Calderon stadium and with none of the apparent grogginess of late they started out on the attack. This seemed to pay off after just seven minutes when Lionel Messi scored, however the referee ruled it out for handball.
