Amelia Earhart - Cold Case For a Hot Lady
by
Susan Scharfman
In Jane Mendelsohn's imaginative 1997 novel "I Was Amelia Earhart" she fictionalized what happened to the famous aviator, and it was a good read. There are countless non-fiction versions of "Lady Lindy's" last days, some more bizarre than any fiction I've seen. But like the ghost of Elvis Presley, Amelia Earhart is back. All the mystery, drama and romance surrounding the beautiful woman who vanished over the Pacific Ocean seventy years ago, has returned to haunt us again. Strictly speaking, the case was never officially declared closed.

Amelia Earhart and Fred Noonan
by
Igor Gromada
On July 2, 1937, Amelia Earhart and Fred Noonan left New Guinea for Howland Island in the Pacific. This was the longest and most dangerous part of their trip around the world. Earhart had trouble shortly after takeoff. The weather was stormy, so she had to fly at 3,000 meters (10,000 feet). Going this high, the plane used gas quickly.

Geena Davis Commander in Chief? No! Amelia Earhart? Yes!
by
John T Jones, Ph.D.
Too bad the beautiful and talented Geena Davis was cast as George Bush II instead of Amelia Earhart. The quicker Commander in Chief disappears from our television screens the sooner we can get Geena into her proper role.

Amelia Movie Review
by
Frank E Calabro Jr
I recently watched the movie Amelia staring Hilary Swank and Richard Gere. Miss Earhart was an American legend who set many records in flights and aviation. Born in 1897 right before the birth of the airplane by the Wright brothers Amelia did not have a passion to fly as a youth. This however would forever change on December 28th 1920 when her father put up $10 for Amelia to go on short 10 minute flight in Long Beach California.
