What Is A Chemical Romance?
by
J. Lloyd
You have been hearing about the chemicals in your body that can attract or turn off another person. Exactly what are these? Well, the jury is still out on the topic of a chemical romance formula. However, since it is a subject of concern for people, you can now purchase special pills that are touted to help your body send out chemicals that will attract someone of the opposite sex.

About My Chemical Romance
by
M. Xavier
My Chemical Romance is an American rock band hailing from New Jersey that's been around since 2001. It's not easy to categorize exactly what type of music they play, although 'alternative rock' would be a good place to start.

My Chemical Romance fans are a dedicated group who carried the band to stardom amidst a grassroots movement, and remain dedicated to the band's laidback alternative style and horror genre inspired music videos. Also adding to its popularity among fans, the band was also heralded for being among the first to offer free downloads of their songs.

Understanding Love - Chemical Romance Or Poetry in Motion?
by
Andrew Rossillo
Who's arrogant enough to assume they can cover the philosophy of love in approximately 300 words? Not this website. That's like trying to explain why the sky is blue to a five-year old who's already moved on to the question of where babies come from before you've begun answering the first question.

There is no exact statistics on how many sites that promote online dating, profiles of single Russian women and their ads, and other dating possibilities are there in Internet. Creative Art in My Chemical Romance
by
Rosalinda Flores-Martinez
And honestly, it is not in the books. Art is being, would dare, and endure unceasingly. Songs like poems involve the senses. Like poetry, you feel the music in you, merging with the fluids in your body. It makes you smile, cry, and even scream or whisper.

Tiger Woods - Why? Part 1 - Desires of Love
by
Richard Andrew King
The Shakespearian-esque tragedy of Tiger Woods has mesmerized and magnetized the world. Woods is arguably the most recognizable sports figure on the planet and certainly the richest. Woods, the ostensibly squeaky-clean golf superman apparently had it all, so why would he risk everything to endure a fall of proportions never before known in the world of sport? The answer may not appear as it seems. It may be in the stars, but it most certainly is in his numbers.

What Clubs Does Tiger Woods Use?

Like any other sports, golf requires that you are geared up correctly to be able to properly play the game. Tiger Woods uses the best clubs available for his specific style of play, most likely his choice will be a Nike Product. Nike has proto types that they design just for Tiger Woods to use and what ever little tweaks Tiger gives these clubs is unknown to us mere mortals.

Youth Sports Today - What Would Joe Tomlin Think?
by
Doug Rogers
In 1988, four years after attending our wedding, Joe Tomlin passed away at the age of 85. As I've watched and coached hundreds of various youth baseball, hockey, soccer and basketball games in recent years, I've often wondered what Joe would think about today's modern manifestation of his original four-team league created 83 years ago, 10 years before Carl Stotz was to organize the first Little League game in Williamsport, PA. I'm guessing that at times Joe would struggle to find the connection between the simple principles he employed back then, and the commercialism and emotional fervor surrounding youth sports today.

Why the Life and Death of Joe Paterno Matters So Much
by
Doug Rogers
It's not necessary to have met someone or be personally connected to someone in order to be influenced and inspired by that someone. But it is necessary for each of us to be influenced and inspired by someone; someone whose values you can respect, admire and strive to imitate. To thousands of people young and old, students, teachers, parents and coaches - many of whom never even met the coach - Joe Paterno was such a role model and inspiration. Some may find that curious. But for those that felt that connection, JoePa offered them a standard of excellence and an example of life values that they could aspire to and live by. We all need such a standard.

Around three months ago, Casio released the Edifice Sebastian Vettel watch. As the name suggests, this watch is closely linked to the brand's ambassador Sebastion Vettel and thus is regarded as a tribute to the Red Bull that the youngest Grand drives for. Monaco 2011 Grand Prix Recap

It was a wild day in Monaco for the 6th round of the 2011 Formula 1 World Championship. The start was surprisingly low key with drivers carefully plotting a course through both the traffic and Sainte-Devote. Alonso came out ahead of Mark Webber while Michael Schumacher had a terrible start - getting bogged down off the line and having cars stream past before clipping the rear wing of Hamilton's McLaren before turn 1.

There are six Formula One drivers coming from Germany and five of them can register championship on their home turf. What F1 Drivers Felt When Michael Schumacher Returned To F1
by
Martin Mutai
Up in line was 2008 champion Lewis Hamilton and 2009 champion Jenson Button, closely followed by Sebastian Vettel who would later be the youngest three-time consecutive champion, but certainly none of these achievements come even close to Schumacher's. It was tense at the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain as sweaty palms of reigning champions clasped and reassured each other. Hope was their only comfort...

Design and Technology Features of Casio Edifice Sebastian Vettel Special Edition Watch
by
Vivian Lau
Around three months ago, Casio released the Edifice Sebastian Vettel watch. As the name suggests, this watch is closely linked to the brand's ambassador Sebastion Vettel and thus is regarded as a tribute to the Red Bull that the youngest Grand drives for. This special watch, limited to 100 pieces, features subtle use of sporty blue and red on the dial and Vettel's signature and logo at the case back.

Sebastian Vettel - Formula One Driver on the Rise

Formula One used to be the home of older, experienced drivers. These days, being 27 is enough to get you branded as an old timer. Of the really young drivers in the series, none has as much potential as Sebastian Vettel.

Monaco 2011 Grand Prix Recap
by
Jesse Peters
It was a wild day in Monaco for the 6th round of the 2011 Formula 1 World Championship. The start was surprisingly low key with drivers carefully plotting a course through both the traffic and Sainte-Devote. Alonso came out ahead of Mark Webber while Michael Schumacher had a terrible start - getting bogged down off the line and having cars stream past before clipping the rear wing of Hamilton's McLaren before turn 1.

Apart from year-round sunshine, Cyprus has all the things that are so important when you retire: excellent health care, a relatively low cost of living, a relaxed lifestyle , plenty of leisure activities and - perhaps most important of all for your hard-earned pension - there's a very low tax rate for retirees.

Teachers - Summative and Formative Assessment in Mathematics - What Are the Differences?

Pt 1 Should English Language Formal and Summative Evaluations Be Knowledge or Performance Based?
by
Larry M. Lynch
A revolution is in progress. It's tranquil and orderly in places, but not so quiet in others. This revolution has swept up the academic world almost in its entirety from students to TEFL teachers and professors, administrators, curriculum designers and materials developers. It's creating new jobs while obsoleting others. It's altering the face and structure of the teaching, learning and language acquisition processes. The focus of the hubbub can be summed up in three key words: testing, evaluation and assessment. These three words can strike fear and terror into the hearts of teachers and students alike on a daily basis.

Pt 2 Should English Language Formal and Summative Evaluations Be Knowledge or Performance Based?
by
Larry M. Lynch
The question raised in part 1 of this two-part article was, "Which type of test is best for formal and summative evaluations designed to assess language learning and ability or language level?" Of the five categories of assessment: Placement assessment, Formative assessment, Diagnostic assessment, Summative evaluation, and Self-assessment. (Cucchiarelli, Panti, Valenti, 2000), we identified aspects of Formative assessment and Summative evaluation. In my opinion, English language evaluations should be done using language performance assessments. In this, part 2 of the article, we'll examine some reasons why.

Teachers - Formative Assessment - Informal Assessment of Students' Content Knowledge in Mathematics
by
Meggin McIntosh
While there can be overlap between some types of formative and summative assessments, and while there are both informal and formal means to assess students, in this article, I will primarily offer suggestions for informal, formative assessment for the mathematics classroom, particularly in the first of the three
categories suggested by
Clarke
Wilson: The student's mathematical content knowledge. The student's mathematical processes, such as reasoning, communicating, problem solving, and making connections. The student's mathematical disposition, such as attitudes, persistence, confidence, and cooperative skills.

Teachers - Formative Assessment - Informal Assessment of Students' Mathematical Processes
by
Meggin McIntosh
Although overlap exists between certain kinds of formative and summative assessments, and although you can design informal and formal means to assess your students, in this article, you'll learn about informal, formative assessment you can use in the mathematics classroom. The ideas presented will help teachers know more about their students' mathematical processing, including their reasoning, communicating, and problem solving.

Teachers - Formative Assessment - Informal Assessment of Students' Mathematical Dispositions
by
Meggin McIntosh
While there can be overlap between some types of formative and summative assessments, and while there are both informal and formal means to assess students, in this article, I will primarily offer suggestions for informal, formative assessment for the mathematics classroom, particularly in the third of the three
categories suggested by
Clarke
Wilson: The student's mathematical content knowledge. The student's mathematical processes, such as reasoning, communicating, problem solving, and making connections. The student's mathematical disposition, such as attitudes, persistence, confidence, and cooperative skills.

The souls believe the process of implantation on the planet earth has almost reached the last stage and that every sign of existence of humans will be completely erased from the earth. The souls would now be free to enjoy the peace of the earth. Some humans are still there on earth, and once any rebel is discovered, the seekers promptly capture them and implant a soul within the body. The soul looks like a centipede creature which is placed within the human body once a cut has been affected on the base of the skull. The soul connects with the body right away and starts receiving the host's memories.

Author of the Twilight series, pushed her romantic skill into an adult book of science fiction, with equal parts romance and action, Stephenie Meyer has once again shown her flawless skill at writing and produced a book that is sure to be a classic. The world in "The Host" is that of an Earth that has been invaded by a parasite-like race of aliens who take over human brains and bodies, eliminate cancer and war, and turn the planet into a sort of paradise. But, humans, like Melanie Stryder, want the earth back under their control ...

With an all-star cast including Brad Pitt, Anthony Hopkins, and Claire Forlani, Meet Joe Black is a movie about death and the value of life. The film is approximately three hours and fifteen minutes long, is fairly slow at times, but has an excellent plot. Filming is done in the big business hub of New York City where Anthony Hopkins plays a character named Bill Parrish who is a billion-dollar CEO of a news company.

How Joe Gold Saved My Life
by
Wade McNutt
It all started way back in my barn in rural New Brunswick. New Brunswick is a cold, out of the way province, just above the Maine border. As a young lad there were no gyms around so I had to train in a makeshift gym I had constructed in my barn...

Movie Review - Meet Joe Black
by
Daniel Breedlove
With an all-star cast including Brad Pitt, Anthony Hopkins, and Claire Forlani, Meet Joe Black is a movie about death and the value of life. The film is approximately three hours and fifteen minutes long, is fairly slow at times, but has an excellent plot. Filming is done in the big business hub of New York City where Anthony Hopkins plays a character named Bill Parrish who is a billion-dollar CEO of a news company.

Joe Calzaghe - The Real Deal?
by
Ian Worthington
Joe Calzaghe has both fans and critics in equal measures. Many believe he is the greatest British boxer of all-time, whilst others are of the opinion that his career contains too many sub-standard and 'past it' fighters. This article looks at both sides of the argument and reviews the high, and lows, of his lengthy boxing career.

Most Popular posts of Good Friday
The other day, I was talking to a very nice Catholic lady from outside of Seattle, and she was glad to be down in the desert resort town near where I live staying warm and dry. Since it was Good Friday, and she had just come from the church we talked a little bit about what Good Friday meant, and its religious significance. No, it was not new information for me even though I am not a religious type, however I did challenge her on the need to change the name of Good Friday.

What is "Good Friday"? What Does Easter Celebrate?
by
A. L. Howard
On the original Good Friday, Jesus was convicted of blasphemy in front of a kangaroo court. He admitted to being God Incarnate (God in a human body so to speak) and that was the last straw! They did not throw Jesus in an insane asylum like they might, today -- the religious leaders demanded his death!

What's So Good About 'Good Friday?'

Have you ever asked yourself, "Why is it called 'Good' Friday?" Reading what happened on 'Good Friday' it seems far from good. An innocent man has just been declared guilty in front of a baying mob, he is dragged before two further courts who insult him, and beat him up in a really violent manner.

What North Korea Really Wants
by
Don Sutherland
Conventional geopolitical thinking has long assumed that North Korea has pursued an unrelenting campaign of provocations, its illicit nuclear program, and even a nuclear weapons test with the objective of assuring the survival of its current regime. Regime survival has little to do with North Korea's recent provocative behavior. North Korea's aims are far more ambitious. As a result, North Korea is not likely to alter its present course and security guarantees or economic inducements will likely prove ineffective.

If the United States and its allies want to denuclearize the Korean peninsula, and not just temporarily allay tensions, they must call Kim Jong-Il's bluff by escalating the situation. North Korea: Little Prospect for a Diplomatic Breakthough Through the Medium-Term

North Korea views Kim Jong-il's "immortal" contribution as his "Songun" principle. Songun entails a powerful army-centered state. Nuclear weapons are at the heart of such a state. As a result, diplomatic breakthroughs with respect to North Korea's nuclear arsenal and advancing missile delivery systems are not likely at least through the medium-term.

Travelling Into North Korea - With Simon Cockerell of Koryo Tours
by
Elizabeth Shim
North Korea is a perennial news highlight, but in 2012 the isolated country seems to stand at a crossroads. The death of Kim Jong-il and the ascendance of the former leader's heir apparent have pundits around the globe speculating the isolated country's next move. Will the change in leadership make the North Korean government more reactionary? Or will it provide an opportunity for the country to open up to new reforms? These are the questions of the day for most of us who have little to no contact with North Korea on a daily basis, but for Simon Cockerell, General Manager of China-based Koryo Tours, there's no real concern of disruptions to business as usual. A British national, Cockerell has served as a tour guide into North Korea since 2002, and has worked closely with North Korean counterparts to bring an increasing number of visitors to the DPRK.

Navigating Through North Korea and China With Simon Cockerell and Katharina Hesse
by

There's more to North Korea than what headlines would indicate, at least for Simon Cockerell and Katharina Hesse, two Beijing-based expatriate professionals whose projects often center around the isolated country, and bring them into contact with North Korean nationals. Hesse and Cockerell's experience with North Korea are in some ways a study of contrasts. Through his work with Koryo Tours, Cockerell's understanding of North Korea is one deepened by sympathy for long-time friends with whom he has worked together for years. Hesse's work with North Korean refugees meanwhile brings a more somber perspective to the food shortage problems that are facing the DPRK.

With the loss of most census reports in for the years before 1922, the quantity of resource tools for Irish genealogy is rather limited. My favorite of the remaining sources are Griffith's Valuation of Ireland, The Hearth Money Rolls and the Tithe Applotment Books.

The tallest Miss Universe (from 1952 to 2009) is Namibia's Michelle McLean, who is 1m 83. McLean is Africa's second MU since 1952. Beginning in the 1990s, in Bangkok (Thailand), Miss McLean, a 19-year-old student-turned-model, was named Miss Universe by a panel of celebrity judges, which included Miriam Makeba, a South African-born singer, and Vijay Amritraj, one of the world's top tennis players in the mid-70s. In the mid-1990s, she became an outspoken champion for children in her homeland. During that time, she set up the "Michelle McLean Children Trust", an organization that work to improve the lives of children.

An Education Long Overdue For Hugo Chavez
by

Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez is not known for his political polish. When thinking of Chavez, the words hyperbole and bluster easily come to mind. The former tank commander often sounds paranoid about the possibility of his assassination or overthrow. In fact, in 2005 he made world news by telling the press that America was developing plans to assassinate him. The United States Department of State would reject his accusation as "wild."

Let's Discuss The Legacy of Hugo Chavez - No Let's Not
by
Lance Winslow
Well, I don't know about you, but I am quite bothered by how the media is playing the death of Hugo Chavez. I can understand if the media which is controlled by the government in Venezuela is making him out to be literally a Simon Bolivar reincarnated, and someone who will go down in the history of Latin America as one of the greatest leaders ever to have walked the planet. However, we in America know the truth, or we should, and I find it rather unnerving that are left-leaning media will promote Hugo Chavez's name and protect his legacy into the annals of history.

Hugo Chavez Attempts to Hijack Venezuela - Protests Spark Riots in the Streets

The President of Venezuela has decided that elections are simply not needed, he will be glad to stay in power for as long as he wants the job, for now that would be indefinitely. Of course, many people who work with him, will not speak up, as they kind of like their job and their life.

Hugo Chavez Is Gone - We Should Allow His Peaceful and Quiet Exit Without Praise
by
Lance Winslow
President Hugo Chavez of Venezuela has died, and many are waiting the three week celebratory funeral procession, one I believe to not be deserved. What many do not understand, especially out here in Hollywood California, is that Chavez had brought financial ruin to huge amounts of that population as he attempted to redistribute wealth, and as time went on the poor were poorer, the wealthy, many had left, unless they were on Chavez's insider track, others lost everything. The middle class nearly permanently destroyed. That's the truth, the truth needs to be told.

How Did Hugo Chavez Get Away With It - Case Study In Fooling Most of the People
by
Lance Winslow
Why is it that people who find themselves in despair give up, and then cling to hope and change from any socialist politician who comes along? Why does history keep repeating itself over and over again? Today, I'd like to discuss how Hugo Chavez while he was amongst the living was able to lead Venezuela's population into ruin - social and economic collapse in less than a decade. But before I do, he's certainly not the only one in history to have done this, and unfortunately judging by what's happening around the world today, he won't be the last.

Why Manchester United is the Most Popular Sports Team in the World - A Quick History Lesson
by
Bob X Carter
I was born in January 1960, less than two years after the air disaster at Munich. The legends who lost their lives that day should have been the first team I supported. I should have watched Tommy Taylor and Duncan Edwards in their prime, but like millions of others, I was robbed of that privilege when the aircraft carrying the team crashed into the icy ground at the end of the runway at Munich Airpot in 1958. This is the true story about my love affair with Manchester United. My story obviously begins in the early sixties, when I started to play, watch and love football, but before I can tell it, I need to share a few facts and a little history.

They played on a small, dilapidated field on North Road, near the future site of the Manchester Piccadilly railway station for fifteen years, and then in 1983 they moved to play on Bank Street in a nearby town called Clayton.

Often, we have assumptions and ideas about something, but through embarrassment and or politeness, we frequently decide to say nothing. While we may do this to avoid confrontation, the outcome can potentially be far worse by staying silent than risking a slight red face by speaking out.

Milk and Tea - A Bitter Debate
by
Sarah Price
I am an American, and I have never tried milk with my tea. I do take it with my coffee, just a bit for color, but I have never (not even once!) tasted it with black tea. The English would be appalled. Something you may not know about me: I am a literature buff, a real book-junkie. Douglas Adams is one of my personal heroes, and I have nothing but the utmost respect for George Orwell. Both of these men were English, and both took their tea with milk-in fact they insisted on it. So naturally, I think I ought to give it a try. Today, that is what I do.

Management Have Become a Nuisance
by
Peter A Hunter
When the NHS was first set up in the UK it's champion, Nye Bevan, told us that the people who deliver the services should be the people who decide how those services should be delivered. Since then the administration of the NHS has grown to the point where the people who deliver the services are now not able to do so because of the obstacles created by the administrators. Whenever successive governments tried to buy votes by increasing spending on the NHS the extra money was always sucked up by the administrators with little difference made to the service delivery.

The new Pope, Benedict XVI, was a member of the Hitler Youth. The Catholic Church is quick to point out that he joined because it was mandatory not because he hated Jews. Although this is the Catholic Churches it has not slowed the Neo Nazi groups from celebrating in the United States or in Germany as they await their revival.

New Pope Elected During Mercury Retrograde
by
Barbara Goldsmith
The new Pope, Francis has just been elected during Mercury retrograde in Pisces. What's interesting about this? He came close to becoming pope last time, reportedly gaining the second-highest vote total in several rounds of voting, so it's quite fitting that during the retrograde he was finally voted in as Pope.

Islam Embraces the New Pope
by
Lance Winslow
The European Union has seen a huge influx of Muslims in its countries and is watching their incredible birth rates. The demographic switch is changing rapidly. Since Catholicism must exist in harmony with Islam due to its proximity to it's core, their choice for Pope seems to make a lot of sense to them.

To the Pope-mobile
by

On May 13, 1981, Pope John Paul II went into St. Peter's Square in Rome to bless some 20,000 worshippers. As he entered, a man named Mehmet Ali Hagca pulled out a 9mm pistol and shot the Pope four times from 15 feet away. Although Il Papa survived the assassination attempt, what resulted was a new cultural icon...the Pope-mobile.

Could Jesus Be Chosen As Pope Today?
by
Sean A Leiba
Selecting the next Pope is only one of many problems facing the Catholic Church. Followers are down. It is difficult to attract new priests. Sexual crimes being committed by priests. Cover-ups of the crimes by the priests make it worse. Bribery and corruption have occurred at the highest levels of the Church. Women are not allowed to become priests. The Church does a great job of managing and control, but more is needed to make it flourish and grow. The articles asks, " Could Jesus be chosen as Pope today?" The answer is a resounding no! However, opportunities for making things better in the Catholic Church are discussed.

Will Catholic Chruch admit and come clean? Many are waiting to see if this new Pope will come clean on the molestation charges against the church. Many parishioners believe he was chosen because he was the only cardinal with a clean record since there are no living parties able or willing to come forward with accusations or proof of molestation charges.
