Happy New Year! Here's a Hangover Cure You Can Count On
by
Christie Latona
Much as we might like to believe that things can be different and better in 2006, we all wake up on January 1 with a nasty hangover. No, this is not the kind of hangover caused by over-indulging in drink. This is the carryover of all the fears, limiting beliefs, assumptions and assorted blocks that keep us from doing the things we say we want to do - whether that is losing 20 pounds or cleaning out the garage or starting a business. When the calendar year turns over, our inner obstacles tend to hang around, despite good intentions and determined resolutions.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Blessed With Divine Love
by
Hans Neukomm
The Year ends for most much better than the year before. Progress is natural in all aspects of life, comfort, education, love and relationships as much as in business or politics. Progress however never can be achieved at the expense of nature, social peace or our all health and happiness. Human well being and holistic health always shall be infinitely more important than any technology.

Going Beyond New Year Resolutions
by
Usiere Uko
As each year draws to a close, it is customary for folks to enter the New Year with a fresh set of New Year Resolutions. We make a list of things we want to stop doing and those we want to start doing. New Year resolutions have become the butt of jokes because most resolutions do not go the distance. Most folks slip back to status quo in less than two months into the New Year. It seems they do not have what it takes to go the distance.

by
Susan Wong
In Japan, New Year is the most important holidays. People will say "ake-mashite-omedetou-gozaimasu" (which means "Happy New Year") to each other whenever they see at the first time in the New Year. The events are widely celebrated and enjoyed, most business are closed from 1st to 3rd January, excluding some retailers. Many people who have moved to big cities will return home during the holidays to be with family and friends. Since most businesses are closed on the first three days of the New Year, the streets tend to be very quiet except for those near temples and shrines.
