Conspicuous By Their Absence: David Beckham - Romario - Raul - Sunday Oliseh - Roy Keane
by
Adeola A Bankole
It always provokes a reaction from fans of national teams whenever their favourite players' names are excluded from the squad to play in any match or to participate in a major tournament. Every fan is an expert, an Alex Ferguson who can give you a million reasons why player A should have been included in the squad. In reality, football is a lot more complex than that.

Roy Keane, Manchester United's Greatest Player?
by
Russell Shortt
Roy Keane was born on 10 August 1971 in Cork City, Ireland. In 1989 he signed for Cobh Ramblers who were a semi professional outfit in Cork City. He impressed Brian Clough of Nottingham Forest enough to be offered a contract in the summer of 1990.

Irish Soccer Team - 1994-2002
by
Colm Sharkey
Mick McCarthy was appointed manager of Ireland after Charlton narrowly missed out on guiding Ireland to the Euro 96 Finals in England. On an emotional night which would be Charlton's final game in charge, the Irish succumbed to a two nil defeat at the hands of the Dutch in a playoff. The team was now in transition, an ageing team had to make way for youth, and a long ball game had to make way for the now worldwide pass and move philosophy.

Will This Be the Season For Ipswich Town to Top the Table?
by
Kim Chambers
Having Roy Keane coming on board was fantastic news which will hopefully materialise into great leadership for the club. With the new investment and shareholding from Marcus Evans in 2007 it will hopefully see Roy bring new talent into the club.

Ipswich Town - 2010 Was A Time Of Turmoil
by
Rob Atherton
2010 was one of the least memorable period for the fans of the club. Roy Keane was appointed during the summer of 2009 and with the financial resources of owner Marcus Evans, expectations were huge among the supporters. Keane had been a high profile arrival at the club despite arriving with comparatively modest managerial experience.

Do Football - Soccer Players Get Paid Too Much Money?
by
Tris Burke
The author discusses whether football players get paid too much money and comes to the conclusion that some are, but others are not and that all players should be on performance based contracts so they can earn large amounts of money only if the club does well.

Managing People - No More Mr Tough Guy
by
Alan Fairweather
Managers are misreading the signs sent by the media and our culture and it's creating difficulty for them. Some managers can adopt the tough guy approach very easily but most feel uneasy with it. The ones, who're uneasy, in an attempt not to be seen as weak, then manage their people in a way that makes them as a manager feel uncomfortable. This ultimately causes problems with their teams.

Greatest Ever Manchester United XI
by
Dennis Neri
George Best, Duncan Edwards, Eric Cantona, Cristiano Ronaldo, Roy Keane are just some of the great names in United's history but how many of them actually made my greatest XI. Garry Bailey was a very good goal keeper as was Harry Gregg.
