The Man is One Heck of a Party Animal

I've alleged it before and I'll say it once again - President Obama is without doubt, one heck of a party animal. Now, not only do they have his Wednesday evening beer drinking party get-togethers but he is now hosting a Broadway style extravaganza at the White House - all at our expense. As I understand, the PBS station will be recording the event for broadcasting over the air at a later time.

Review: Rampart

Officer Dave Brown (Woody Harrelson) is a cop from the Rampart Precinct in Los Angeles, California. He dishes out his own version of justice and has no problems going over the line to do what he feels is his duty. His actions get him into deep trouble when he's recorded beating a suspect in what looks to fall in line with police brutality. This not only presents new issues for him and the people in his personal life, but also for the entire police department and the people who want to see cops like Dave Brown taken down.

Extra, Extra! The Tony Nominations were recently announced to celebrate the year in Broadway. In case you missed them, Newsies is the "King of New York!" with eight nominations, Newsies is celebrating in a big way as the little show that the Fansies brought to Broadway. Based on the 1992 Disney film flop starring Christian Bale, Bill Pullman, and Ann-Margret, this movie has been given new life at the Nederlander Theater with a fresh score by Alan Menken and book by Harvey Fierstein. Our student groups that have visited New York City this spring have loved this show from start to finish and always leave singing and dancing. With so many amazing shows on Broadway this year, student group travel to New York City has never been more exciting!
