Sales - You Gonna Do it the Hard Way Or Like Rick Pitino?
by
Brett D Furniss
"That's right! You're not your dad. He could sell a ketchup popsicle to a woman in white gloves." (David Spade to Chris Farley in "Tommy Boy") "Put. That coffee. Down. Coffee's for closers only." (Alec Baldwin in "Glengarry Glen Ross")

College Basketball Totals
by
Bryan Leonard
Off the top of your head, give me a quick answer: When you think of Duke, would you classify the Blue Devils as a slow defensive-oriented team, or a wide-open, run-and-gun team? The answer is easy: They run. That's not surprising, as the program is able to stockpile McDonald's All Americans each season, bloating their depth, not to mention the fact that Coach K always has a brilliant ball handler or two capable of running the break. Sports bettors should notice that Duke started this season 15-8 over the total. Their wide-open running offense and capacity for nailing three-pointers is key factor in this correlation.

Success Is A Choice

Dev Hobbins
This article is not for quitters. It is for those of us who have a need to be successful in life and business. If you look closely at all great organizations, you will find a common trait among them and the top one being a second-to-none work ethic.

March Madness all comes down to one game for the Big East regular season championship. On March 8, Louisville plays the Georgetown Hoyas. Even though the Hoyas are 8-2 in their last 10, it's the Cardinals that really seem to be making their way into March Madness.

Eleven Tips to Bring More Energy to Your Next Interview
by
Steve Cambridge
If you leave the hiring manager with more energy, you will leave the interviewer with a positive impression. If you leave the hiring manager with the same amount of energy or less energy, start sending out other resumes because you aren't getting a job offer unless the hiring manager is desperate to fill the position.

Is Paying the College Athlete a Good Idea?
by
James F McGrath
It is well known that successful college football and basketball coaches command salaries that reach seven figures. While the athletes enjoy a paid scholarship to school, they do not receive supplementary funds. Should they be paid?

Super Bowl Review and College Hoops Thoughts
by
Al McMordie
Well it certainly wasn't one of the best played Super Bowl games of all time. Key penalties, sloppy play and astounding turnovers marred the annual event.

Ness Notes (Jan 25)
by
Larry Ness
The Ron Artest story somewhat overshadows a busy 12-game schedule in tonight's NBA, so I'll turn my attention to Wednesday's 42-game college basketball card. My free play on Wednesday is North Carolina over Boston College at 9:00 ET. After a 2-0 sweep in last night's college hoops, I'm now 14-5-1 since January 14. Tonight, I'm back with two more HUGE 20* plays, my Conference Rivalry GOY and my Conference Revenge GOY. I'm also featuring my first 15* CBB total of the season. My 15* plays in CBB have opened '06 winning at the rate of 75%! In the NBA, I look to bounce back from last night's loss, with my Line Value Game of the Month.

Betting the Big Uglies
by
Bryan Leonard
Let's hold our noses and talk about the Big Uglies. Those college basketball teams that are so bad, you don't even want to examine the game, let along think about wagering on them. However, this time of year there can be some outstanding line value in ugly dogs. You just need to learn how to hold your breath and get up the courage.
