by
Susan P Denny
This morning I attended a dawn service honoring the memory of those who lost their lives defending our country. This has special meaning for me because my uncle was lost on HMAS Sydney in 1941 at the age of 19. Far too young to die.

by
Johanna Baker-Dowdell

We were all there for the same reason - to pay our respects to a generation of men, younger than most of us, who fought in one of the most famous battles of modern times.

Anzac Biscuits - Enjoy the Tradition
by
Reshma Rangaswamy
The Anzac biscuits were for soldiers in the early part of the 20th century during World War I, which were prepared by the families of the soldiers, who were engaged in the battle field. It was a cheaper variety of biscuit as it was made while the world was reeling under severe economic crisis. The only positive attribute was that it could be prepared easily and faster to serve the soldiers.
