Don Draper Still Living With Ghosts on the AMC TV Series Mad Men
by
Jeremy Knight
Don Draper's character, although fully capable, and at times, masterfully ingenious at his job, is haunted by his own personality, derived from his disturbing childhood and wartime deciept. His obvious intelligence leaves the viewer wondering how he could be so misguided, and at the same time, attracts sympathy as a result of his situation.

Mad Men, And Women With Reason To Be
by
Larry M. Elkin
Like many people, I count AMC's "Mad Men" among my favorite television shows. Unlike many of the show's critics, I do not find it to be sexist.

"Mad Men" and Business Success in 2009 and Beyond
by
George F Franks III
The hit AMC cable television show "Mad Men" about the lives of those who work for a fictional Madison Avenue advertising agency in 1962 provides more insights into the work place of 2000 than one might think. In fact, the characters in "Mad Men" provide a series of examples of what to do and not do to be successful today and in the future.

Mad Men Fashion Reigns in 2010
by
Crystal Kehoss
Among adults 25 to 54, the Mad Men TV show grew 26% according to AMC officials. Average household income was well over $100,000 making this series the most popular of the "white collar" population. And it's no small wonder that the jewelry of 2010 is somewhat of a twisted mirror image of this era.

Mad Men Memories: A 1960s Time Machine
by
Loretta Ernst
Any baby boomer fascinated by the prospect of traveling through time (and who hasn't thought about it at least once?) could easily get hooked on the AMC series, Mad Men. I confess to becoming an addict as soon as I stumbled upon the first few episodes of Season One online during a snowstorm last winter. It instantly launched a trip back in time to my childhood, and resurrected long dormant memories of a very different era, replete with harvest gold appliances, dirndl dresses and, by today's standards, quite troubling behavior.

by
Jackie D.
Mad Men is not just a hit TV show on AMC, the fabulous vintage and skinny neckties seen on the show have become a major trend in men's fashion. The Modern Men TV hit takes place in the 1960s and the 60s gave birth to narrow neckwear. Now men's magazines like GQ and Esquire have caught on the trend, red carpets everywhere are featuring the hottest male celebrities capturing the look and even designers are turning to the show for inspiration for vintage ties.

Having recently premiered the second season, the critically acclaimed series Mad Men is back for television audiences to enjoy. The popular series is based on a New York City advertising firm, and gets its name from a term used to refer to those who worked in the city's advertising district of Madison Avenue. The show is set in the early 1960s and has been praised for accurately showcasing the historical landscape at the time.

If you're a fan of the 1960s both in terms of culture and style, you'll no doubt have made time to watch AMC's award winning drama, 'Mad Men', by now. Set in mid-century Manhattan, primarily at an Advertising agency, this show is impeccable in its historical detail, and its aesthetics. Boasting a talented cast and nailbiting plots, it has it all.
