Summer Glau the Irresistable Psychopathic Killer Robot From the Future
by
Joe Schaffer
Summer Glau is the hottest psychopathic killer robot from the future I've ever seen. Her cold persona and lack of emotions when she's killing or thinking about killing people is somehow completely lovable. The producers of 'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles' have achieved something great in Cameron, John Connors terminatrix protector and companion and part time malfunctioning assassin, played by the irresistable Summer Glau.

Movie Review - 300
by
Leslie Halpern
In ancient Greece, memories were kept alive through the oral tradition of storytelling; today we have blockbuster, big-budget movies enhanced with computer-generated images to tell our stories. In this dark horse film adaptation, 300 races to the finish line ahead of the rest.

Film Review - 300
by
Rianne Hill Soriano
Beyond words, this powerful film renders my supposed eloquence to pure silence... '300' rips your heart with death but redeems it soon after with its glory. It is a must-see film.

Reflections on the Status of Women in Ancient Greece and Today
by
Patty Mooney
To read about the culture and lifestyle of the ancient Greeks brought on a few "aha" moments for me. When I was 18 years old, I traveled through parts of Greece, solo, and the adventures I experienced there, particularly with men (most of whom were named "Georgos"), were confusing. There were so many subtle nuances that I did not feel privy to, and yet that involved me as a woman... With a clear view back, thirty years later, assisted by Katherine L. French and Allyson M. Poska, authors of Women and Gender in the Western Past, and by Sarah Shaver Hughes and Brady Hughes, who compiled Women in World History, I was able to understand much of what happened to me. While in Patras, I encountered a social stratum of men who shared their women and yet preferred the company of other men. This seems to go directly back to the days of ancient Sparta.
