Marinduque's Green Stone Mineral As Greenhouse Gases Sequestering Material
by
Aero H Mananita
In the Philippines, though it is not considered a major contributor of GHGs in the atmosphere, the government being a part of the Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is duty bound to come up with laws regarding climate change adaptation and mitigation activities. This led to the approval of Republic Act (RA) 9729 otherwise known as Climate Change Act of 2009. With the passing of this law, other agencies, local and national, are oblige to come up with necessary rules and guidelines for the implementation of the said law. As such, higher educational institutions (HEIs) also aligned their programs with regard to the implementation of the law. Research related to adaptation and mitigation to climate change is given with importance. Thus, this study is made in relation to the Marinduque State College's program on climate change mitigation and adaptation.

How Did the Sequester Come About, and What Is Its Impact?
by
Waseem S Khaleel
The news today is all about the sequester and automatic spending cuts. Members of both parties are struggling to voice their opinions and defend their points of view. This article provides the reader with an explanation of how this talk came about, and what we are about to face. All the numbers that readers have looked at for the past 2 years are summarized in this article in conductive and straightforward ways...

Strategic Sequestered CO2 Gas Schemes and Seismic Situations Seen
by
Lance Winslow
One thought to solve the CO2 problem that is caused by mankind, and said to be causing global warming, is to collect the gas and store it underground. There are several places under the Earth's surface where deep pockets exist and can hold a good amount of pressure and gas. Now, collecting the gas itself is no easy matter, but that challenge should soon be conquered. The Germans already have a couple of decent schemes to collect CO2 gas from coal-fired plants and the US DOE (Department of Energy)...

Why Sequester CO2 - Just Drive Through the Forest and Release It - Trees Love the Stuff
by
Lance Winslow
It appears the Global Warming Alarmists just will not give it a rest, it seems that every anything happens in the world, such as normal seasons, extreme weather, cyclical droughts, a regional crop failure, a wildfire, well you name; It must be global warming. Oh for Pete's Sake do these folks even hear themselves crying wolf, every 5-seconds or what? All mankind has to do, if they really wanted too, is to collect the CO2 coming out of the stacks of coal-fired plants (clean-coal technologies) and prevent it from hitting the atmosphere.

Kenaf - The Environmental Entrepreneurship Powerhouse
by
Dr Carolyn M Cross
Kenaf can be used as a domestic supply of cordage fiber in the manufacture of rope, twine, carpet backing and burlap. Research, in the early 1940s, focused on the development of high-yielding anthracnose-resistant varieties, cultural practices and harvesting machinery.

Forcing Democratic Spending Cuts
by
Andy Waldock
It appears that the main reason the Republican Party backed off the fiscal cliff debate was because they planned on leaning on the debt ceiling and the force of sequester. This may bring the Democrats to the negotiation table to pick and choose which cuts will be made rather than the across the board spending cuts that come with sequestration.

Using More Trees to Reduce Atmospheric CO2
by
Thomas Clouser
As global warming continues to escalate the concerns of today's scientists, the federal government has been spending millions in research in an attempt to reduce greenhouse emissions, the substance that has been credited with the increase in planet

My Herniated Disc - The Suffering
by
Jonathon GL Martel
For about a year prior to being diagnosed with a herniated disc in my neck I thought I was going crazy. Being fairly overweight, and coupled with the stress of my job, every time I felt numbness or pain in my left arm I would panic and assume that my poor lifestyle had finally caught up to me and I was having a heart attack.

Spinal Decompression Therapy
by
David Weeter
So, what's all the hype about spinal decompression? It seems like the hot topic in the area of back pain these days. Well, research on this technique goes back a long way but governmental research on it is relatively recent which is why it's become more mainstream. Basically, anyone who has back, neck, arm or leg pain that is the result of a bulging or herniated disc can benefit from some form of spinal decompression therapy. Specific conditions that you may recognize from the names (such as sciatica, herniated or bulging or sequestrated discs, spinal stenosis, facet syndrome, spondylosis and even failed back surgeries) may be helped by spinal decompression.

If The US Is Going to Be The World's Policeman - Then Let Them Foot Our Military's Cost
by
Lance Winslow
Well, I've heard just about all I can take from the Obama Administration's Sequestration which was actually their idea in the first place. In fact, I'm sick and tired of this administration somehow thinking they can gut the military and fail to protect the American people, after all that is what the federal government is for, and all these other social programs, along with their runaway costs, bureaucracy, inefficiencies, and fraud are what need to be curtailed.
