First Two World Series Games in MLB Recorded Lower Ratings
by
Nigel Kerry
I would say, surprisingly the television ratings for the World Series reach a new record low for the opening games. Fortunately Fox announced better news and added that the television increased a bit after Game 2.

Remembering Game 6 of the 1986 World Series
by
Erik Armstrong
One of the most incredible, wackiest playoff games in the history of the MLB occurred over 23 years ago and just about every baseball fan who saw that game still remembers it vividly. Boston Red Sox lovers probably to this day keep it buried deep within their minds, while Mets fans remember it as one of the greatest moments in the history of their franchise. The AL champion Red Sox and the NL champion Mets met each other in the World Series in 1986.

How The Cubs Can End The World Series Drought
by
Gary W Grant
It's safe to say that the Chicago Cubs are one of the famous teams in all of sports due to the fact that they have lost for over a century. The last time the Cubs have actually won a World Series title was in 1908. For those of you who do not want to do the math, that is 103 years.

History of the World Series Format
by
Andy McCarthy
Beginning in 1903, the World Series has taken place as an annual postseason Major League Baseball Championship contested by the winners of the respective American and National Leagues. However, various forms of the championship game preceded its establishment, such as The Championship of the United States played in 1884 between the Providence Grays (of the National League) and the New York Metropolitan Club (of the American Association). After newspapers referred to the victorious Providence Grays as the World Champions, the name World Championship Series also began floating around in reference to the championship game.

The World Series, Hollywood Style
by
Zack Mandell
America's Pastime, baseball, has been the subject of many movies. In the late 1980s, Kevin Costner practically made a career out of baseball movies, with "Bull Durham" and "Field of Dreams" ranking as two of the best movies of all time about the sport. For all baseball movies, there is an ultimate goal that the main characters try to reach.
