A team of young, motivated players that seemingly came out of nowhere and swiped the number eight seed in the Western Conference, they went on to miraculously defeat the Dallas Mavericks in a first round seven game series, knocking off the team with the NBA's best record and the top seed in the Western Conference. Jerry West not only knows basketball, being one of he greatest NBA players of all-time, but he knows the corporate side of basketball, as well. West was responsible for igniting the Los Angeles Lakers' three-peat from 2000-02, by acquiring players like Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal, as well as hiring Phil Jackson as head coach. West's new challenge is to do with the Golden State Warriors what he did with the Lakers, and somewhat with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Will the 2009-2010 Golden State Warriors Make the Playoffs?

The Golden State warriors had a major let down season in 08'-09' failing to win even 30 games, 29-53 overall. The 2007 playoffs for the Warriors was something they wish recreate, making the playoffs and winning the first round. The Warriors had the 2nd highest scoring average at 109 points per game but were the worst defensive team giving up 112 points per game, last in the NBA. If they ever hope to make the playoffs they can not give up that many points this coming season.

Golden State Warriors 2009-2010 Predictions

The Golden State Warriors peaked when they defeated the 67 win Dallas Mavericks in the 07' playoffs - since them they haven't done much. Their defense the last two season has been one of the worst in the league - if not the worst. They can score when they want but don't play any defense and let teams back in games.
