5 Best SNL Political Impersonations
by
Bea Scott
With a bevy of new shows and returning favorites, I'd have to say SNL is really something I look forward to. Aside from the gags, the skits and the musical guests, what really gets me rolling on the floor, hysterically laughing are the political impersonations.

SNL Mocks Obama, Pelosi for Their Eloquent Grace Under Fire
by
Scott Spiegel
Saturday Night Live (SNL) is held up by "television historians" as a paragon of insightful, ruthless satire of the political scene. Whatever merits SNL might have once had in that department, lately its level of political analysis has been about as deep as the shot glasses its writers undoubtedly empty before they pen each week's program.

New Political Comedy Season for Satellite TV on SNL
by
John R. Harrison
A new season of Saturday Night Live has arrived on satellite TV to entertain the people of New York, and the world, for yet another year. Staying true to past seasons with a strong political lean, the program has just as much fodder as ever for picking on politicians. Getting back at the program for constantly making him out to be a blind old fool, the latest season was opened by none other than New York Governor David Paterson himself.

Catch Betty White's SNL Rerun on Satellite TV
by
John R. Harrison
Over the years many dedicated Saturday Night Live fans have dropped the program from their weekly 'must see' lineup. The skits have gone from bad to worse, and the comedy borders on ridiculous more often than funny. The guest stars often leave much to be desired, and the program regulars more. What, then, was SNL to do to boost their ratings across satellite TV, cable and network television? How about a hip new guest host?

Saturday Night Live - Where's the Funny?
by
Ronnie Marlborough
Saturday Night Live at one point in time was a show that spawned the likes of Eddie Murphy, James Belushi, Dan Akroyd, Chevy Chase, Steve Martin, and Bill Murray. Lately if you do watch the 11:30 broadcast your odds are 1 in 3 you will see an actual live show.

MacGruber (New Movie Review)
by
Maxwell Anderson
For not being terrible and actually making sense as a feature length parody of 80's action movie conventions, MacGruber deserves credit for overcoming the odds and its own origins. That being said, the film isn't perfect.
