Here We Go Steelers, Here We Go!
by
Cary Sands
Here we go Steelers, here we go! Say it again! That's the chant that reverberated around Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, sports bars and homes all around the world Sunday night, as the Pittsburgh Steelers advanced to their 8th Super Bowl in franchise history, and their 3rd in 6 years.

Why America Loves the Pittsburgh Steelers
by
Jason Greiner
All across this great nation of ours, form the smallest rural farm towns to the sprawling mega metropolises, one would be hard-pressed to find any community without a contingent of fans of the black and gold. The Pittsburgh Steelers are arguably ones of America's most beloved sports franchises. They may even be at the top of that list. And for those who do not wave the terrible towel, they may not understand why. But, if you really think about it, the answer isn't very hard to figure out.

Hooray For Tokenism
by
Matthew Aaron Shorey
I had this same idea for a post nearly 3 years ago. I took a more calculated approach towards it and decided to wait and find a good opportunity, like I'll explain shortly, to break it out. Or I've been incredibly lazy and I'm fortunate that a situation like this arose for me to reprise it. The correct answer was the latter, but the relevance and overall effect will do more good now than it would have in 2008. In 2003 the N.F.L. came up with The Rooney Rule to combat the lack of minority Head Coaches. The rule states that every time a franchise wants to hire a new Head Coach they have to at least interview one minority candidate before filling the position.

The Weekend of Football
by
Alexander Gross
There was a plethora of exciting NFL games over the weekend. We had the classic Brady vs. Manning matchup that lived up to the hype, big hits with the Eagles and Giants squaring off, and Brett Favre playing in his last meaningful game against his former Packers team. As great as these games were, no NFL game was more telling of the kind of league we have than the Raiders/Steelers game.

Lead With Influence - Secret of an NFL Rookie Coach
by
Bonnie Budzowski
Fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers held their collective breath as the 2007 season started. Their new coach, Mike Tomlin, was a surprise pick by the Rooney family, who owns the team. Pittsburghers like to win, and Tomlin was an unknown rookie.

AFC North 2007 Previews and Projections
by
James Campbell
AFC North Division - Baltimore: The Ravens won't find the sledding so easy this year after posting a regular season mark of 13-3 last year, pushing them will be the Pittsburgh Steelers who are only 2 years removed from winning a Super Bowl and whose QB is now back at full strength following last years near fatal off season motorcycle accident and emergency appendicitis surgery.

Is The NFL's Rooney Rule Really Progress?
by
Chris Conger
As the NFL season comes to an end and hiring season is in full force the NFL has to ask if the Rooney Rule is working? We are not in the post race utopia where everyone is color blind, but we have made progress. It would seem the Rooney rule is insulting to qualified applicants in the hiring pool of the NFL.

Can the Pittsburgh Steelers Pull it Off This Time?
by
Carl Dunde
It's no secret that the Pittsburgh Steelers have a big reputation to live up to. Not only are they the oldest team in the American Football Conference, they also have the most champion wins. They've played in no less than six Super Bowls and have won the Super Bowl not once but five times!

Lifting Employee Productivity Through Encouragement and Praise (and It Works for Kids Too!)
by
Kim Seeling Smith
I'm a Green Bay Packers fan, so I'm very very happy this week (for those of you who don't follow American Football, they just won the Super Bowl).
Win or lose, I'm a proud Packers fan, or a Cheesehead as we are sometimes called.
I grew up in Wisconsin, my Dad grew up 30 minutes out of Green Bay.
