Project Google Glass is a research and development program by Google to create an augmented reality head-mounted display. The glasses are already being sold to the developers and the official public release date is scheduled for early 2014. At present, there is no idea regarding the price of the glasses but it will be somewhere around the average price of a smartphone.

Will Google Glasses Price Be Affordable?
by
Alex A George
This cool new piece of kit from Google is coming very soon but will the price be something you can afford? The Google Glasses price will probably be set to compete with the top end smart phones but can it really replace them?

Google is getting closer to releasing its most exciting new product, Google Glass. These electronic, lightweight glasses rest on your face and respond to your voice commands. The glasses which are set to be released by the end of this year, will allow the user to interact without any touch, and they may go on to replace smart phones in the future. With many exciting features, everyone is eager for its release, but as with any groundbreaking technology, the glasses come with a few downsides to consider.

Dodging the Visual Digital Divide With Google Glasses - Do You See What I See?
by
Lance Winslow
Apparently, personal tech is getting much closer. Closer to what you ask? Closer to your brain my friend! It's my belief that someday we will have human brain interfaces as part of our personal tech, and we will probably have a brain chip inserted which will allow for thought swapping, which will obviously replace things like e-mail. Of course, those that do not have the chip in their brain will not be able to send information at the speed of thought, and therefore they will not have the advantage. They will not have the advantage in school, in business, in relationships, or in any of their other humanly endeavors.

New Application for Google Augmented Reality Glasses Considered
by
Lance Winslow
The other day, I was discussing with an acquaintance who was recruiting himself into our think tank about the future of virtual reality, actually augmented reality and blurring of the real world with the virtual online world of social media, social networks, and the global information flow in real time. We talked about Google's R
D Department and their latest augmented reality glasses which were featured not long ago in all the Nerdy Tech blogs and personal technology magazines. We were discussing all the potential applications, which are non-ending and after brainstorming for what seemed like 5-minutes we came...

New Concept - Google Earth Needs a Localized News Button To Play Audio
by
Lance Winslow
When you go to Google Earth and want to learn more about a place, wouldn't it be nice to have that place linked to more than just pictures and facts? How about audio, wouldn't that be a treat? Why audio you ask, because you could listen while you did other things. Perhaps you are searching out a shopping center, restaurant or store. Want to listen to reviews - how about consumer reviews - exit surveys of customers as they leave the establishment. We could provide all this content quite easily by way of crowd sourcing.
