Mark K Anderson
Like a colorful cocktail at an urban-swank club, Alice + Olivia clothing starts with the basics of classic apparel shapes before twisting them into unexpected, youthful and edgy looks. Add the zing of a "taste the rainbow" candy color palate and some retro and hipster appeal and you have Alice + Olivia apparel, apparel of which the term "vintage time-warped femininity" was applied to by Interview magazine.

What Is the Best Name for Your Baby?
by
Valentina Kaltchev
Baby names are enormously individual; a name with great appeal for some parents has no appeal for others. Names are important and while they define nothing, and are merely labels, they are intensely personal. Yet parents often name their children without considering the consequences of a life of association with a word which they may even have chosen at random.

Chelsea Football Club - The Story Of The Blues
by

Most soccer teams have an emotional link to their home stadium, but the history of few teams and stadiums are as intertwined as that of Chelsea FC and Stamford Bridge, their London home. Built in 1877, Stamford Bridge was an athletics track until 1905 when two brothers (HA and JT Mears) purchased it with the intention of attracting an existing team to play there. When this plan failed, they decided to take the bull by the horns and create their own team - Chelsea FC. And so began 100 years of soccer history with many ups and downs along the way.

Premier League match time returns to Stamford Bridge, when Chelsea host Manchester United, in a first leg game on Tuesday, March 1, a match that was originally scheduled to be played on December 19, and got postponed owing to inclement weather. The Mythology Of The Possum

For those of you who have companion animals, or even those of you who have just watched animals at a distance, you may have wondered how those animals view and perhaps even think about life, the universe and everything. Why a Common Man Like Me Wants the World Expo 2020 in Dubai
by
Jeremiah A Odhiambo
The alliteration of Dubai with Dreams is not accidental. Dubai is very much the stuff fantasies are made of. More importantly - it is in Dubai that dreams melt into reality with a seemingly effortless grace. The first time I came to this Wonderland, it simply took my breath away. What majesty! What magnificence! What magic! I was besotted, utterly and completely. Dubai, to me, became not a city but a phenomenon. All the dreams that I had dreamt about my future came to fruit in this Eden on Earth and newer, bigger dreams now fill my mind.

Bring Back Gary McCord to the Masters As a Golf Commentator
by
Andre Arnett
I don't know about you but I wish CBS would bring back Gary McCord to the Masters as a commentator. I miss having him around with his dry sense of humor and witty sayings. It was always a pleasure though to listen to him talk about the golfers, the golf course and the state of the game. He relates well with the viewing audience.

2008 Alamo Bowl - Jeremy Maclin's Speed Carries Missouri to OT Win Against Northwestern, 30-23
by
Ed Bagley
There were many games during the last two years when Chase Daniel led his Missouri team to victory; however, the Tigers won the 2008 Alamo Bowl against Northwestern Wildcats 30-23 Monday (12-29-08) not because of Daniel but in spite of him. Daniel was not on his game early on, throwing 3 interceptions, but was part of the go-ahead play in overtime when he threw a 7-yard touchdown pass to Jeremy Maclin to give Missouri the victory.

AFC Ajax - Amsterdam's Finest
by

If you're a true-blue fan of football, then you are undoubtedly aware of Amsterdam's incredible club, AFC Ajax. Also known as Ajax Amsterdam - and sometimes simply as Ajax - the team has been ranked the seventh-best football club of the 20th century, which is a truly humbling designation. Although the team's heydey was during the 1970s, it still enjoys a very loyal following. If you're planning to come to Amsterdam and they'll be playing, make it a point to take in a game.

The Blacklisting of Dorothy Parker: The Pendulum of Power Swings Against the Bill of Rights, Again!
by
Terrie Frankel
The American Constitution has a unique American component called the Bill of Rights. It has barely withstood the pressures of time and is barely alive today. Clearly, whoever is in power in this country is usually dismayed that the Bill of Rights even exist. It's such a nuisance and bother. "Do we really need it?", the say. It is ironic that the red scare of the 1950s was led by the Republicans and the Bill of Rights was defended mostly by Democrats (President Reagan testified against Hollywood liberals at the time that led to the infamous Black List). Now, it's the reverse. The Democrats and President Obama have chipped away at the Bill of Rights. It is any wonder anyone bothers to quote these rights for there are literally hundreds of laws and executive orders limiting their effectiveness and meaning.

The Use of Custom Lapel Pins and Ribbons for Supporting Causes and Charities
by
Craig F
Pins and ribbons seem to be everywhere these days. The practice, begun in the 1980s, has exploded to include support of many, many organizations and causes. Lapel pins can be designed to incorporate a company or organization logo or name with the color of ribbon that supports your cause. It's a subtle way of throwing your company's weight behind one of our society's pressing issues.

Echoes of 1990s as England Capitulates at the Wanderers
by

So much for my strong words in the Rorke's Drift post. England allowed South Africa to amass 423/7 before declaring and racing to victory on the morning of day 4. England fell apart, lasting a mere 42.5 overs limping to a meagre 169 all out, losing by an innings and 74 runs allowing the South Africans to draw the series 1-1.

Is there no such thing as momentum in the game of cricket anymore? Definitely not in this series that's for sure. Broad and Dravid Shine at Trentbridge (Second Test Day 2 Review)
by
Paul J Stevenson
Day 2 of the second Test match between India and England started with much better batting conditions than the previous day. The sun was shining and the green tinge the wicket had on day one seemed to have faded. The experienced pair of Dravid and Laxman came to the crease with India on a score of 24-1, chasing the England first innings total of 221. The early exchanges were very much dominated by the Indian partnership, taking advantage of some loose bowling from both Anderson and Broad. As the morning progressed, the score line seemed to be moving along effortlessly until Laxman fell, just before lunch, to the bowling of Bresnan not long after making his fifty.

Why Do We Need Home and Auto Insurance?
by
Mayoor Patel
For a lot of us, it is exceedingly difficult to justify spending money on something that we will probably never use. But we all do it - and we do it more often than we would like. Yes, we all spend large amounts of money on insurance even though we all know that we will probably never use it for anything. While it is true that health insurance and dental insurance do indeed come in handy, it is much more difficult to see the reasoning behind dropping thousands of dollars each year on home and auto insurance.

School Rugby Tours - Home and Away
by
Aiden Armstrong
The question of whether to go abroad or stay in the UK is a crucial one when concerning school rugby tours. School sporting trips abroad are seen to have more value, yet they are harder to organise, and by necessity more costly. However, removing the element of cost, it is pertinent to consider what types of experiences the two different kinds trips can offer. For students themselves, a trip abroad will always seem the more exciting option. It exposes them to new cultures and gives them a greater sense of liberation. Additionally, it is sometimes considered that other countries have more to offer in terms of an educational and cultural experience. However, what the UK has to offer cannot be discounted and the opportunities are many and varied.

The Recent History of Arabic Dance
by
Morwenna Assaf
Recent Belly Dance history belongs to many countries. Inevitably, throughout the years it has gone through many changes and alterations. Originally neither its purpose is the same nor its costuming. It has evolved as everything else. Before the 19th century oriental dance could be traced to the Arabic tradition and culture and was danced at family celebrations, weddings and other occasions. It was more or less a "family affair". Sometimes, they would hire a professional dancer to entertain and enchant the guests.

This program is indirectly teaching some very important and positive lessons. Powers of empathy are aroused with the expenditure of positive energy supporting a favorite celebrity. There is admiration for people in the public eye who are willing to accept the challenge of something new and be prepared to fail and accept defeat gracefully in front of millions.

Not All Financial Advisors Are As Wise As You Might Suspect Them to Be
by
Lance Winslow
It used to be that when you hired a financial planner, you were hiring someone with a lot of experience, who knew how to help you diversify your money and keep you safe. Nowadays, when you hire a financial planner you are more apt to hire someone who is merely a salesperson trying to capture your assets for a larger company. Then they merely look at your financial situation, and how much money you have, how much risk you are willing to tolerate, and put you into a decision making matrix.

Well, I always found it odd that my parents, teachers, and even our politicians always told me that it was important to go to college to be successful in life. You see, I started my first business when I was 12 years old, and although I quit college after two years, it certainly wasn't because I wasn't smart enough, rather I was losing money in the classroom as my business was doing quite well. I can honestly say that nothing I learned in high school or college really helped me in running my business. Rather, what I learned in my business helped me immensely in school.

The minute that they enrol their kids for school, the one thing that most parents dread is bullying. Concealed Carry Clothing
by
Walter Rickshaw
When keeping your firearm concealed is your top priority, you'll need good clothing to do the job. If you are carrying concealed and your clothes let you down by printing or causing you to brandish your weapon, you could be in a world of hurt and face major consequences. Printing is caused by clothing that is too tightly pressed against your weapon and/or holster. The weapon then 'prints', or shows, through your garment. Clearly, this means that you are not carrying concealed.

Sexy Nurses? Ooh Matron, What a Carry On!
by
Keith Sinclair
In 1958 'Carry On Sergeant' introduced us to a new genre of comedy. In itself this was a gentle film and has more in common with the hit TV comedy series of time 'The Army Game' than the bawdy and suggestive Carry On films that were to follow and that were destined to become the nations favourite and most eagerly awaited film releases of the Sixties. That said, this entertaining film was about a group of misfits who ultimately turn themselves into star cadets and in so doing win their retiring sergeant a bet he's taken with his fellow NCOs. And in that it delivered a funny film and a box office success.

How Do You Carry Your Cross?
by
Jocelyn Soriano
You've accepted your cross, you've welcomed to carry it with all your heart, you believed that the difficulties that loom in calvary is nothing compared to the glory that awaits you. Still my friend, you have to carry it, you chose to, and the burden you will carry is a reality you will go through, not an illusion you can skip or vanquish with the best and purest of your intentions. How do you carry your cross? How do you remain steadfast to the very end?

Shirish Kulkarni
The term Carry trading unless otherwise specified, denotes currency carry trading. Carry trading is one of the Currency trading strategies which is the most popular strategy currently being used by professional currency traders as well as less seasoned traders. The main reason why carry trading is gaining a pace is the interest rate differences existing in different countries.

Who Will Win - Joe Calzaghe or Mikkel Kessler?
by
Ja Dawson
When Joe Calzaghe (43-0, 32 KOs) and Mikkel Kessler (39-0, 29 KOs) meet for the super middleweight title this Saturday from Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, HBO will be kicking off its first, of three, mega-fights to close out the year (Mosley-Cotto and Mayweather-Hatton are the other two). Of all three fights, this prediction is the hardest to make. However, I will not deviate from my blueprint on picking successful boxing match winners.

Arshavin to Barcelona Or Chelsea?
by
Syddel Worrell
Andrei Arshavin, is still in the hunt for a new club after two spectacular performances at this year's Euro 2008, which has seen him receive interest from various clubs, including Barcelona, Arsenal and now Chelsea. Arshavin is interested in a move to Barcelona, the club he has been a fan of since he was a boy, but new reports suggest that Chelsea have now entered the race for the player, and rightly so. I stated in one of my earlier post that Roman Abramovich, Chelsea's owner, being Russian, should bring in at least one of the talented countrymen.

Chelsea Managers
by

Chelsea FC have always had a talent for picking some outstanding managers, and their past three have been no different. In 2004 the London club hired the 'special one', Jose Mourinho. The outrageous Portuguese manager brought a real spark to the club with his mardy attitude, labeling himself as one of the greatest managers ever, although the big headed forty five year old did have some evidence to back himself up, winning the Premier League trophy twice in his first two seasons at the club, as well as picking up two League Cups, an FA Cup and a Champions League title in his three year period at the club.

The hopes of thousands of neutral fans across the country who were intent on witnessing a fairytale finish to the season were dashed last Saturday as Chelsea secured their first ever League and Cup double courtesy of their 1-0 victory over Portsmouth in the FA Cup final. Pompey were awarded a golden chance to bring cheer to the nation however Kevin Prince-Boateng fluffed his lines, missed a penalty and his side were eventually made to pay when Didier Drogba fired in the winner from a free-kick just three minutes later.

Don't Let Windscreen Woes Wreak Worry On Your World
by
C. Pugh
The importance of a windscreen cannot be underestimated. Far more than a sheet of glass protecting you from the elements, a windscreen is a safety, strength and sight necessity. Elements lorry driver Lu Chen overlooked when despite smashing the front of his vehicle and consequently the windscreen too, he continued on his way. Following the accident that obliterated both the glass and part of the roof, Chen remained more concerned about the cost of repair so stayed on the road, despite travelling along the Chinese highway at a snail's pace. Noticing the traffic backing up alerted the police who had to force the determined driver to the side of the road. A lengthy conversation later, traffic police agreed he could go on his way but on one condition - he buy a pair of goggles so he could keep up with the speed of the flowing traffic.

Is "The Mentalist" a Blatant Ripoff of "Psych?"

This is the question that crept into my head upon first hearing of CBS's "The Mentalist." Being a huge fan of "Psych," I was, of course, a little annoyed at the obvious similarities between the two shows.

Tracking the Killer: the Mentalist TV Show
by
Joel Owens
The charm of mystery stories, leaving clues and hints to audiences before finally revealing who the killer is goes before even television. Some theaters run plays solely on this kind of story, where the audience is asked not to give details about the ending in order to not spoil the experience to future audiences. Books and short stories of this genre not only entertain but give the reader a sense of involvement in the progress of the plot.

Gerry has built his celebrity star up by merging his own talents of the mind with skills he learned from his father, a New York City detective.

Peek at Future Roles of the Mentalist Cast
by
Joel Owens
The new drama series, The Mentalist, gives viewers another reason to stay at home and follow the quest of Patrick Jane for the serial killer who murdered his wife and daughter five years back. The storyline is very interesting, and is expected to hook audiences, eager for the next episodes while still viewing the current one. Clearly, it would take no psychic abilities that more can be expected from the television series.
